TREASURE's Asahi Is On His Way To Becoming The Next Variety Show King And Here's Why

One of the most promising 4th generation K-Pop groups in today's day and age has to be the iconic . While it is common in the K-Pop industry to form groups from idol survival reality shows, YG Entertainment's "YG Treasure Box" was easily one of the most competitive and hardcore reality shows in the category. Coming out victorious from this incredibly difficult period of training, 12 talented boys, Choi HyunSuk, JiHoon, Yoshi, JunKyu, Mashiho, JaeHyuk, Asahi, Bang YeDam, Haruto, DoYoung, Park JeongWoo, and JungHwan formed the group TREASURE and debuted on August 7, 2020.

Out of all the members who are all uniquely gifted in their own ways, Asahi has gained special attention from fans because of his amazingly refreshing personality (read: chaotic) and inspiring career graph. Having trained for three years at YG Japan, Asahi participated in "YG Treasure Box" when he barely knew a word of Korean. To be in a completely alien environment and still come out undefeated is a feat in and of itself. The fact that he could successfully also open up and forge some of the strongest friendships, speaks volumes about who he is as a person.
