TWICE is officially debuting in Japan with a Japanese album, and their debut date has just been announced.
Japanese media, Oricon Style, reported, "Korea's 9 member girl group, TWICE, is debuting in Japan on June 28th. Their debut album will be a best of TWICE album, titled '#TWICE'." The media continued, "TWICE started off as a 19 member group for their Korean audition program, titled "SIXTEEN", but debuted down to 9 members."
The media continued to introduce the group by revealing the meaning of their name, and referencing to their latest streak of successful albums since their debut. To finish off, they stated, "The group decided to debut in Japan after seeing the viral popularity of their 'TT' dance on SNS."
The girls will be dropping their first Japanese album this summer, and plans on performing live stages in Japan.
