Unknown 3rd Party Just Filed For Trademark Of Kang Daniel’s Name
Amidst the legal battle between former Wanna One member Kang Daniel and his agency LM Entertainment ongoing, a third party seems to have entered the stage.
According to reports from YTN, an unidentified person submitted an application requesting the rights to Kang Daniel’s name recently.
YTN has so far revealed that the person who filed the trademark application resides in Gwangju, South Korea and that the application was submitted back in March 15th.
Kang Daniel and LM Entertainment both have stated that they are not familiar with the person who filed the application.
Kang Daniel’s legal representative responded by stating that he is currently discussing how to take preventive measures so that the trademark application doesn’t get approved. A possible course of action that Kang Daniel is currently thinking of taking is filing a formal objection.
As for LM Entertainment, the agency released their own statement saying that they were currently unable to file a trademark application of Kang Daniel’s name as his activities have been suspended due to a dispute between them and the K-Pop idol. LM Entertainment has stressed that the person who filed the trademark application has no connection to LM Entertainment and isn’t aware of the identity of the person either.
