US Figure Skater Accused Of Intentionally Stabbing Korean Skater With Blades
According to the Straits Times, US figure skater Mariah Bell is currently being accused of intentionally stabbing her rival skater, Lim EunSoo from South Korea.
South Korean netizens have been calling Mariah Bell out when news of her coming up behind Lim during practices and colliding into her causing an injury first broke out.
Lim suffered a gash on her leg after the collision while also being treated immediately afterward.
The Straits Times reported:
“Lim left the warm-up session to receive emergency treatment as she was in severe pain. She returned to the ice to compete after getting her cut taped.
Her agency added: “It seems it was intentional, considering how Bell came from behind.””
Rumors of Mariah Bell having bullied Lim EunSoo has also been rampant across the internet as both athletes trained under the same coach, Rafael Arutyunyan. In addition, reports from various sources have also pointed out that Mariah Bell still has not yet apologized to Lim for the incident.
The ISU is currently conducting an investigation in to the matter.
