IZ*ONE’s comeback ‘BLOOM*IZ’ was something that many fans were probably looking forward to.
The showcase for the girl group’s comeback was originally supposed to take place on November 11th, but the group’s agency Off The Record Entertainment made an announcement revealing that it has been canceled.
The exact reason for the cancelation has not yet been clarified.
However it may most likely have something to do with the arrest of Ahn JoonYoung, the producer of survival program ‘Produce 101’.
Ahn has admitted to rigging the votes for both ‘Produce 48’ and ‘Produce X 101’. Based on Ahn’s statement revealed by news agency SBS, this suggests that not all the current members of IZ*ONE and X1 are the rightful members of the group.
In addition, previous reports have also revealed that certain agencies of idol trainees provided adult entertainment services to Ahn.
The authorities recently raided one agency in relations to these suspicions.
And it’s not just IZ*ONE that the recent scandal affects but also the most recent ‘Produce’ series group, X1, as well. Several unnamed companies reportedly canceled their CF deals with the boy group as soon as suspicions of vote rigging on ‘Produce X 101’ were brought up.
Should the investigations reveal that other participants on ‘Produce 48’ and ‘Produce X 101’ were supposed to be included in IZ*ONE and X1, do you think the members should be replaced?
