Korean BLs made an impressive entry into the BL world back in 2020 with "Where Your Eyes Linger" and other releases that year. Since then, the scene has gradually grown and improved over the years, paving the way for various masterpieces to trend across social media everywhere. And once again, 2024 seems to be a great year for BL fans.

We've gathered the Korean BL web dramas announced for 2024. Some dramas in this list lack released information, but we try to update regularly.

1. "Love For Love's Sake"

Adapted from the webtoon "Love Supremacy Zone".

Summary: One day, a 29-year-old man gets trapped inside the body of a 19-year-old young student, an extra character from the novel that his sunbae was writing. A translucent window appears where he receives a mission—to make Cha YeonWoon happy within 300 days—and his life at stake as his penalty. Will he be able to survive, protect his loved ones, and fulfill his mission?

Directed by Lim HyunHee, the same director as "Our Dating Sim". Adapted from the webtoon, "Roommates".

Summary: JinWoo, is a young man who finds himself living with his crush, KiSub, who entered his home uninvited and crashed on his couch for a little too long. The narrative also explores the relationship between Sunny and InHo, who hold onto a secret from their high school days.

4. "Secret Relationship"

The web drama is an adaption of the webtoon by the same name written by McQueen STUDIO.

Summary: DaOn is a smart, resourceful, and hardworking employee, trying to overcome his poverty. His cheap ways get on the nerve of his co-worker SeongHyun, who hates him. After a certain incident with poor parents, DaOn gets closer with SeongHyun, while he tries to settle his feelings for his previous tutor JaeMin. With emotions all mixed up and all the secrets, what will be DaOn's fate?

5. "Good Night To Get Drunk"

Adapted from the audio story "Good Night To Get Drunk".

Summary: JunHyuk and MinSeok grew up taking care of each other. Eventually, the two go on different paths. Years pass, and one day, when JunHyuk arrives at home one night after a lecture, he finds MinSeok on the sofa in his living room. JunHyuk's eyes locked on him with an awkward atmosphere.

6. "Eccentric Romance"

The same company that produced the BL "Peach of Time" is in charge of a second Thai-Korean BL drama "Eccentric Romance" ("기이한로맨스").

Summary: It is the campus romance of two friends from the same club: the cold Sung Hoon and the shy and cute Jay. They encounter a mysterious murder case and look for the culprit.

Summary: An audacious tale of two roommates, one a homosexual man and another a heterosexual woman. Through the eyes of Mi-ae begins Goyoung’s clumsy love story. Stories of laughter, tears, and wounds between a mother in denial of his gender identity and a lover unable to escape societal judgment. Goyoung finally meets a pure love like no other, Gyu-ho, but has no choice but to let him go. With Kyu-ho gone, Go-young follows a stranger to Thailand and spends a late monsoon vacation. 15. "Gray Current"

Summary: Cha SooHyuk is focused only on his survival, without any grand goal. He reunites with Lee YoonDae, who he was very close with. Yoon-Dae was living with his girlfriend but now has nowhere to go. They end up living together.

16. "WuJu Bakery"

Summary: A small bakery was re-established after all kinds of hardship in a small old town that holds precious memories with his parents before his long-awaited opening ceremony. A spaceship crash-landed, and the bakery was ruined... An alien and the handsome boss sat down in the bakery where a chaotic living together had begun. K-Drama 'Love for Love's Sake' offline fan meeting in Korea 'Love for Love's Sake-Side Story' tickets have been sold out, and it is now open online.

'Love for Love's Sake-Side Story' was planned to meet fans who love the drama 'Love for Love's Sake' offline, and will be held twice on March 16th at 2 PM and 7 PM (KST) at the Sungshin Women's University, Ungnyeong Green Campus Auditorium.

NCT is a multinational boy group under SM Entertainment with interesting concepts and the most members in a male K-Pop group. With so many members, they can try out different ideas and approaches to their aesthetics and music. Many members have been fortunate enough to pursue solo activities outside of group activities.

The members work together as a group and follow a concept that can work well for everyone. However, as a soloist, the members are allowed to show off their charms and own personal aesthetics. They can have more freedom to produce and perform music that they're interested in. We're going to look at some NCT members who showed off their charms in their solo projects. Here are 5 NCT solos that personally showed off their charisma and individual tastes. These are not the only NCT members with solos as many more members in NCT also have solos!

 

1. TaeYong

NCT's TaeYong has always had an interesting and fun way of expressing himself through his solo projects. From his first solo song 'Long Flight', TaeYong has always continued to surprise us with refreshing, shining music since his debut as a solo artist. Not only that, he works closely with his tracks composing and writing for them. While his song 'Long Flight' is a melodic, R&B track highlighting his vocals, his other songs 'TAP' and 'SHALALA' show off his energizing rap skills and futuristic-sounding pop and hip-hop songs. Regardless of the song, TaeYong always shows off how versatile he is and it always has that fun, TaeYong element to the songs. TaeYong is one of the members with a full album release!

 

2. Ten

NCT's Ten is known for his hypnotic vocals and haunting melodies that are shown in his solo works. All of Ten's solo tracks are suited perfectly to fit his dancing performances for them. His debut solo with 'Dream In A Dream' was impressive and everything people expected of the Thai artist. Seductive, mesmerizing, and beautiful, Ten has kept to this theme for his songs such as 'Birthday' and 'Nightwalker'. He experimented with more upbeat, pop sounds for his single 'Paint Me Naked'. The song was lively and groovy yet it still showcased how incredibly charismatic Ten is when it comes to his solo projects. Ten is another member who has released an album!

 

3. JaeHyun

We expect nothing less of the vocal king that is NCT's JaeHyun when it comes to his solo projects. JaeHyun's solo songs always show off his silky smooth vocals and the songs are more ballad and pop-focused. Although not a solo, he surprised us with his collab song 'Try Again' with artist d.ear and this was only the beginning of JaeHyun's journey. The artist released his first solo song 'Forever Only', and has kept up the momentum of showcasing his breathtaking vocals in his works.

 

4. Mark

NCT's Mark is a master with his rapping skills and knows how to blend his skills when it comes to his solo songs. In his first solo song 'Child', Mark has kept a steady momentum and aesthetic to his solo works, following pop, rock, and hip-hop fusions with his songs. 'Golden Hour' really showed his solo power and remained true to his joking nature as the song is about a long-time joke in the fandom. Mark knows how to keep fans on their toes, showing dynamic music with his solos, parts in NCT, and even his features. We hope he releases a full album soon!

 

5. Taeil

NCT's Taeil has amazing vocals and his voice is fit for any K-Drama ost. Thankfully, our dreams came true! His first solo song was for the 2016 K-Drama "The Merchant: Gaekju 2015" where he sang an OST titled 'Because Of You'. Since then, he has gone on to do more OSTs for K-Dramas like his songs 'Starlight' and 'Lovey Dovey." Not only has Taeil proven himself to be an OST king, but his solo songs prove just how skilled he is as a vocalist when he gets to shine. His singing is powerful and so far he has stuck to ballads that show off his colors. We can't wait to hear more versatility for his future projects and we know he will leave us all shocked with his talent.
