YG Entertainment

YG Entertainment has had a rough year in 2019 after being bruised and battered through so many different scandals.

If there's any K-Pop entertainment agency that can look forward to better days in 2020, it's YG Entertainment. The agency, although no longer considered to be included in the top three K-Pop agencies, still however is one of the biggest. And that's actually because of the artists that it currently has.

And obviously, 2020 will no doubt be a crucial year for them if they want to forget about all the hardships of 2019 and move forward.

The first and probably the most anticipated reason among the reasons why this year will be a year that YG fans can look forward to is mostly because of BIGBANG and their return to their K-Pop scene. Of course, the group may have lost one of its members, SeungRi, through an unfortunate series of events, but the group and their key players continue to represent YG. The remaining four members, G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, and DaeSung are now finally finished with their mandatory military service, and they will soon be making an appearance on Coachella this year.

And despite being an agency that seems to be in trouble, one shouldn't forget that they are home to one of the most popular K-Pop girl groups in the world, BLACKPINK.

The girl group will no doubt be releasing a new album in 2020, but will it be a full length studio album that BLINKs have been asking for since forever? No one knows but it really doesn't matter because whatever they release will probably be a smash single like every single one that they've released up until now.

And of course, the debut of TREASURE 13 is still on the map. Yes, while the future looked uncertain for them at one point, YG Entertainment confirmed that TREASURE 13, which consists of TREASURE and MAGNUM, will soon be making their official debut.

Stay tuned for updates!

yg's problem wasn't just abt the scandals of 2019. they lack the ability to produce new music, quick enough for so many groups. so if yg prioritises big bang, other groups have to wait longer. yg also had a very bad financial year 2019. ppl should realise idols are only a small part of the kpop formula. there's music production, choreography, stage management, marketing, pr, logistics, stylists, finance, legal, etc.. all of which must work well before your fav group finds success. fans should realise this is a complicated business and not think their favs will magically return with great… Read more »
