YG Entertainment

In case K-Pop fans have ever wondered if there would be a K-Pop girl group that would be able to exert the full force of K-Pop on the world as BTS did, they now have their answer. YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK is writing their own fair share of history in K-Pop at the moment.

Despite not having nearly as many music releases and comebacks as the other K-Pop groups out there, each one of their comebacks has been a chart-smashing hit. And most recently they've beaten BTS's record with the MV for their single 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' as it reached 150 million views within a 21-day period. BTS's 'Fake Love' reached over 150 million views within a 24-day period.

'DDU-DU DDU-DU' continues to dominate the number one spot on South Korean charts.

Having received various different high-profile propositions from US producers and artists, it's not just fans but K-Pop consumers who are anticipating what the girl group will do to set the bar higher for K-Pop girl groups.

This article doesn't answer the question it poses.
Black Pink is so successful because they has the same fanbase as boygroups.

It doesn't even pose a question anyway. And YG had been teasing that they would have another girl groups for YEARS before finally releasing teasers about BP. A lot of their fans are company stans and new kpop fans.
