We love idols and actors of all heights and love to see height differences between them as well! Here are idols and actors who have major height differences when standing side by side!
Kianna, Staff WriterK-Pop idols and K-Drama actors come from all different heights! From the short to the tall idols, we love them no matter the height! When it comes to heights, many fans love to talk about the height differences of their favorite idols and actors. It's not that hard to point out the height difference when you have a very short idol next to a tall one!
Since we love to see the height differences between these celebrities, we've made a list of some duos that have major height differences. Here are 9 K-Pop idol and actor moments that show just how big of a height difference the duos have!
BTOB's SungJae and BLACKPINK's JiSoo worked alongside each other as MC's for "SBS's Inkigayo" show. Fans loved their chemistry together but also noticed just how small JiSoo was next to SungJae. With a 20 cm height difference, the two MCs had a big height difference that stood out to many!
TWICE's Tzuyu is known for her stunning beauty and tall frame. TWICE's ChaeYoung is known for her cuteness and feisty nature. When side by side, you can see the difference between the two with their height! Tzuyu is 172 cm and ChaeYoung is 159 cm, a 13 cm height difference! We love seeing female K-Pop idols of all heights!
Not only did BTS's Suga and SuRan collab together for the iconic song 'So Far Away' the two have an 11 cm height difference that can be seen on Suran's Instagram photo of the two. Although Suga is one of the shorter members in BTS, when he's next to SuRan he looks huge!
Even when she is wearing heels, EXO's ChanYeol still manages to look tall next to Red Velvet's Wendy. ChanYeol is 184 cm and Wendy is 156 cm. That's a 28 cm difference, the biggest one on our list! The two SM idols have a cute height difference that fans love to see.
Who could forget the iconic "2016 SBS Gayo Daejun" where many idols came together to cover 'Who's Your Mama?' by J.Y.Park. During the performance, fans couldn't help but notice the height difference between GOT7's YuGyeom and VIVIZ's EunHa. The pair have a 20 cm height difference with YuGyeom being 183 and EunHa being 163.
Famous Korean actor Kim YoungKwang and actress Lee SungKyoung are known for their skills and acting, but we can't help but notice their height difference as well. Lee SungKyoung is known for being a tall actress but when she stands next to Kim YoungKwang, you would think she is so much shorter! Kim YoungKwang is 189 cm and Lee SungKyoung us 175 cm. The duo starred in the Korean drama "Call It Love" together so you can get even more of their height differences from the show!
SMTOWN's very own idols SHINee's MinHo and Red Velvet's Irene have quite the height difference when they stand next to each other. MinHo is 181 cm and Irene is 158 cm. The idols are good friends so they're around each other often, allowing fans to see just how big of a height difference they have side by side!
The famous actor Park BoGum and singer-actress IU have a noticeable height difference! Park BoGum is 182 cm while IU is 162 cm, a whole 20 cm difference between the two! The celebrities will act alongside each other in a new Netflix K-Drama and we can't wait to see more of the height difference!
The shortest and tallest members of the popular boy group SEVENTEEN have a major height difference that is easy to see! If you want to know who MinGyu and Woozi are in the group, just look for the duo who looks like a giant and a fairy. MinGyu stands at an impressive 187 cm whereas WooZi is 166 cm. When the two are next to each other, MinGyu practically towers over his older member!
Kep1er's Bahiyyih may tower over her fellow members, but when it comes to her brother TXT's Huening Kai, she's shown to be the shorter one! The sibling idols have a 17 cm height difference!

Zee & NuNew are famous and beloved Thai singers/actors, so here are some K-Pop artists we'd love to see them collaborate with next.
Ishani Sarkar, Kpopmap EditorThai superstars Zee Pruk and NuNew are going global and garnering fans from all over the world. Recently, the two were invited as special guests for the "33rd Seoul Music Awards (SMA)", held at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, and they made K-Pop fans fall in love with them. They also won the "Thai Best Artist" award at the event! In addition, not only were their visuals shining, but NuNew's music performance was also incredibly praised! Needless to say, the duo gained thousands of new fans that day.
For those who might not know, Zee Pruk, a.k.a Zee a.k.a Pruk Panich, and NuNew, a.k.a Chawarin Perdpiriyawong, a.k.a "Nation's Son", are both Thai singers/actors. Zee and NuNew shot to global fame with their Thai BL series "Cutie Pie", which later got a sequel ("Cutie Pie 2 You") and a spin-off ("Naughty Babe").
"Cutie Pie" tells the story of two young men, Lian Kilen Wang and Kuea Keeratiin, who are set for an arranged marriage, decided on by their parents and grandparents. However, Lian is strictly indifferent to the cheerful Kuea, leading to the two calling off their marriage. However, soon after they split, Lian starts to realize his true feelings for Kuea.
Zee plays the serious businessman Lian Kilen Wang, and NuNew plays the free-spirited student/musician Kuea Keeratiin in "Cutie Pie". Both Zee and NuNew have won several awards for their fantastic acting in the BL drama.
In addition, Zee and NuNew are both talented singers and performers with amazing stage presence! Both have contributed to the OST of their dramas "Cutie Pie" and "Cutie Pie 2 You". In addition, NuNew's first single, 'Anything', ranked 12th on Billboard Global's World Digital Song Sales Chart. The singer also releases covers of K-Pop songs, adding his own twist to the same, much to the joy of fans.
As ZeeNuNew's interactions with the K-Pop industry continue, we cannot help but dream of their collaborations with K-Pop artists. So, here are our picks for five dream collaborations between Zee Pruk, NuNew, and K-Pop artists that we'd love to see come true!
Zee's vocal tone is refreshing and uplifting - the kind of voice that makes all your blues go away in an instant. Zee also has a penchant for love songs! We can imagine the perfect collaboration between Zee's crystalline voice and EXO member ChanYeol's deep, husky rap tone, especially on an upbeat track. Both singers know exactly how to create the most touching OST, so expect a viral sensation if these two artists collaborate.
On the one hand, we have NuNew, who has a deep, rich, and perfectly husky voice that can wonderfully bring out an impressive range of myriad emotions. On the other hand, we have WonWoo with his velvety smooth, resonant voice that feels like a warm embrace. A poignant song of heartbreak by NuNew and SEVENTEEN's WonWoo would break the internet with how it would tug at our heartstrings.
Get ready for an explosion of visuals and allure because if Zee Pruk and HwaSa collaborated, we would collectively lose our minds. Zee Pruk has captivated the hearts of millions around the world with his effortless sexiness and magnetism. At the same time, HwaSa is the queen of fatal charm who can hypnotise us with one look. We don't know about you but this seems like a collab made in heaven to us!
NuNew has often expressed his adoration for IU and has covered her songs multiple times, and beautifully at that, too. Most recently, he even covered IU's 'Love Wins All', impressing fans worldwide with his elegant vocals! What we realized while listening to NuNew's covers of IU's songs is that his voice would be unbelievably well-suited for a collaboration with IU. The softness, the delicate emotions, the magic that is characteristic of IU's music would definitely be amplified and outstandingly complemented by NuNew.
Finally, we could not have concluded this list without this collaboration. Zee and NuNew sound incredible individually, but when they sing together, it sounds breathtaking, to say the least. So, what better collaboration than ZeeNuNew and South Korea's romance maestros, Melomance? We'd all be feeling butterflies in our stomachs as our eyes turn into hearts if ZeeNuNew and Melomance collaborated!
P.S. Did you know Kpopmap is giving away an exclusive online streaming pass to ZeeNuNew's Tokyo date? Check out more details here on how you can participate.

Travel back to your childhood or learn from the life experiences of K-Pop idols with these eight touching and wholesome videos by “ODG”.
Sandy, Staff Writer"ODG" is a popular YouTube channel with 3.23 million subscribers (as of Nov. 8, 2023) creating heartwarming and wholesome videos centred around the children and teenagers it features. With their slogan, “You were a kid once”, the channel provides a platform for young kids and teenagers to speak about their thoughts, feelings and experiences so that viewers can gain perspective of what it’s like to be at their stage of life. The large viewership "ODG" have built is attributed to the easygoing and down to earth interactions they create where kids and grown ups can learn from each other.
Many idols have appeared on the channel over the years, the likes of which include SEVENTEEN, IU and TWICE. Not only does featuring idols on the channel attract more attention by driving fans of these artists to the channel but it also allows the kids and teenagers to meet and learn from different celebrities, especially those who they are fans of.
Travel back to your childhood or learn from the life experiences of K-Pop idols with these eight touching and wholesome videos by "ODG".
SEVENTEEN’s WonWoo and Jun had funny but down to earth interactions with the kids. Together, they shared their favourite snacks, talked about their dreams and talents and talked about how to make friends at school. The concept of the video was WonWoo and Jun keeping their identity hidden, pretending they’re the same age as the kids they were talking to. At various moments in the video, WonWoo and Jun were trying to keep in their laughter at the kids’ suspicions about their identity.
Lily, HaeWon and SullYoon of NMIXX had chill conversations with the kids about school activities, pastimes and shared heartwarming moments where the kids complimented the NMIXX members’ singing abilities. They had genuine conversations about dreams and confidence. Lily talked about what she hopes to achieve as a singer and finding the confidence to sing and compose music. SullYoon talked about struggling with confidence and HaeWon talked about keeping her worries to herself and moving past tough times by acting happy. Sharing their inner thoughts, uplifting each other and encouraging each other’s dreams was healing for both the kids and NMIXX members.
LE SSERAFIM’s time with the three kids was such a heartwarming moment. It was touching to see the kids bonding and playing happily together even though there were language barriers, which YunJin, EunChae and Sakura were there to fill. The girls played lots of different games and exchanged gifts, all while showing enthusiasm to learn each other’s native languages. The video showed that connection goes beyond language and common ground can be found across cultural differences.
JiHyo, Tzuyu and JeongYeon sat down with a few high school students to look back at TWICE's successful career. At the same time, the high school students shared moments of their adolescence in line with key moments of TWICE’s career. While the TWICE members talked about the behind stories and feelings of their comebacks throughout the years, the teenagers talked about what they were doing in their life and their feelings during those exact moments. They even talked about how TWICE’s songs fit into the story of their adolescence so we got to see a side by side comparison of how both TWICE and the teenagers have grown at the same time.
ENHYPEN’s video for "ODG" was an interesting one because of the way it was set out. Instead of meeting face to face and having a conversation with the three teenagers, ENHYPEN were standing behind them without revealing who they were until the very end. The members also spoke individually to the camera in short interview-like clips. The theme of the video was the differing perceptions of idols; what their lives are like, how we look up to them and how rare and amazing the chance to meet them would be. At the end, the teenagers turned around and, in a dramatic slow-motion, we got to see their raw excitement at seeing ENHYPEN standing right behind them.
"ODG" also uploaded a video of ENHYPEN getting to chat with one of the teenagers after the reveal on their "Behind ODG" channel.
Red Velvet’s Wendy felt like a trusted older sister to the two eighth graders she spoke to. They had a comforting heart to heart opening up about all sorts of growing pains immensely felt at the girls’ age. It was a calm conversation where they could talk about feelings they might have kept hidden such as stressful times when studying or concerns about their appearance. As a way to comfort them, Wendy shared with them a song of hers that the girls found to be a stress reliever and relatable to themselves. Growing up can be tough and turbulent but Wendy provided a sense of comfort and understanding even for that brief moment they were chatting.
One of the most viewed videos on "ODG", this video where IU meets a fan pretending to not know her made us excited just watching through our screens. MinSeo, who is a regular on "ODG", was asked to pretend to not recognise the person in front of her when she opened her eyes regardless of who it was. Much to her surprise, she opened her eyes to see her favourite celebrity, IU, right across the table from her. However, as a child actor, she did a brilliant job of pretending to not recognise her. After a while, she was allowed to reveal to IU that she is a big fan of hers and the two had a nice conversation together. It must have been a whirlwind of emotions for MinSeo to have the precious opportunity to meet IU, something she thought would never happen.
For ITZY’s video for "ODG", the kids got to experience getting their photo taken against a photo wall just like idols do. Being in front of cameras and getting many photos taken are a key part of life as an idol. The kids were awkward at first being faced with a sea of cameras but standing alongside ITZY, they slowly warmed up to it. Idols are always in front of cameras with the attention of them and while it seems flashy and exciting, ITZY revealed the hardships that come along with it. In their early days, they weren’t sure of what to do but after some time as ITZY members, they have all the know-hows in mind. They also spoke about the harsh realities of confidence when constantly being in front of cameras.
