X1 member Son DongPyo is currently under criticism by netizens.

Just recently on October 12th, X1 members Kim WooSeok and Son DongPyo appeared on an episode of ‘Doraemi Market’.

In South Korea, speaking more respectfully to people older than you is placed at the highest importance.

Netizens found it discomforting that Son DongPyo was speaking in a sarcastic tone towards the MC’s of the show who were much older than him.

Im not hating on him. But if he has no manner, people should warn him… I knew that he was trying to be funny. But it will be better if he doesn’t do it in sarcastic ways.

In Asia, manner is very important. Even you are not smarter than others , you can be more successful if you have good manner.

I dont what to feel about this… Look, If in korean culture they expect youngers to respect the olders and its something really important, Its his job to be polite as idol too. I know is his personality, but he should be more careful…

Some of you need to remember what South Korea is like culturally, or go learn about it, before you weigh in on how he should and shouldn’t treat those who are older. Just because kids can get away with disrespect in other countries doesn’t make things okay, and you shouldn’t be thinking a teen who is close to adulthood can’t be held accountable for their actions. However, bullying and hate are something that is intolerable to me,… Read more »

I think you are missing the main point… Getting bullied is not the same as getting warned. Having no manner will effect him more when he gets older. As a 17-year-old boy, which i think is not that young, people will still forgive him… But in the future, idk
