YG Entertainment Distance Themselves From Club Burning Sun Rape And Assault Accusations
Club Burning Sun is currently surrounded by a huge controversy at the moment after CCTV footages showing a woman being dragged out of the club and a man being assaulted by a group of the club’s associates surfaced online.
Netizens believe that the woman being dragged out was drugged and raped, while also suspecting that the man who was assaulted by a group of the club’s staff members and even the police was trying to protect a woman who was being sexually assaulted in the club.
So far, there have been highly serious accusations after accusations, but no full proof evidence as of yet. While the police promised the public that a thorough investigation would be made, netizens are currently convinced that the police too are corrupt and are not likely to accept the results of the investigation reports as the truth too easily.
The club released an official statement regarding the incident involving the woman, saying that she was a woman from Thailand who was caught stealing drinks from the VIP table. When confronted about it, the club claims that she began assaulting the staff members.
And naturally, the media has reached out to YG Entertainment to ask for their statement regarding the incident, as the club used to be owned by BIGBANG member SeungRi, until according to KBS News, he resigned from the position of owner about a week ago.
However, YG Entertainment has refused to make any statement whatsoever regarding Burning Sun and SeungRi himself has remained silent about the issue as well.
Fans have been saying that since Burning Sun was SeungRi’s personal business, YG Entertainment doesn’t have any obligations to make any statements about the recent controversy, despite him being one of their artists.
