YG Releases Part Of WINNER Concert Tickets By Mistake, Cancels Them Without Prior Notice To Inner Circle
YG Entertainment is getting themselves into hot water and this time with WINNER‘s fans, Inner Circle.
WINNER is set to hold their concert “Cross Tour in Seoul” this coming Oct. 26 to 27 in Olympic KSPO Dome and the priority ticket sales for Inner Circle part of the official fanclub took place on Sept. 23.
It was said that later for general sales, it would be in 2 parts. The first general sales took place on Sept. 25, Wednesday through the Facebook of Paybooc and the second round will be happening on Sept. 26, Thursday through Auction Ticket.
For the priority sales, fans were more than happy to purchase the tickets but some were also left with disappointment and shock after an apology announcement by the agency later on Sept. 24.
It was said that YG Entertainment had released the sale of tickets in level 1, region 8 and 9 by mistake. It was supposed to be available for the second round of general ticketing held through Auction Ticket.
With that, they announced that they will be cancelling the tickets of fans who had bought the ticket in those regions.
Seeing the abrupt announcement, fans who managed to get a ticket for the concert but was in region 8 and 9 were left with no tickets. They had not expected something like this to happen and demanded a better explanation from the agency as it did not seem they were receiving much benefits from the priority sale.
Some also thought the ticket sales were not properly set up with the conflicting words and announcement by the agency.
Many decided to take things into their hands and trended the hashtag #yg_사과문_해명해, hoping for a better explanation. The hashtag can be translated to asking YG Entertainment to explain on the apology announcement on Sept. 24.
Some fans were angry and felt that the agency did not organize the sales of the tickets properly. Some also felt disappointed at how they wrote the apology announcement.
WINNER will be touring 6 other cities starting from November.
