South Korean comedian Yoo ByungJae recently announced that he will not be renewing his contract with YG Entertainment once it ends this year in June.
The comedian first gained prominence and popularity back in 2015, when he appeared on 'Infinite Challenge' and gave the South Korean public a taste of his unique character specializing in dark yet hilarious and comical sense of humor and wit.
Yoo ByungJae has actually been quite outspoken in the way he entertained people, even dissing YG Entertainment on a few occasions. Of course, while it was for laughs, many people in South Korea are actually saying that what the comedian has said about the agency may be true after all given that YG is somewhat indirectly involved in the recent scandals surrounding club Burning Sun and former BIGBANG member SeungRi. Yoo has described his agency as a "drug store" or "pharmacy" and has said there were many people in the agency who deserved to go to prison.
Now of course, because he has a straight face all the time and his occupation is a comedian, it's hard to tell if he's joking or being serious. But we leave that up to every individual person to decide for themselves.
YG Entertainment has also confirmed that Yoo ByungJae will soon be departing from their management.
In addition, his manager Yoo KyuSun, will also be leaving YG Entertainment around the same time as the comedian.
Stay tuned for updates!
