Zico To Leave Block B, Aims To Return With Solo Comeback Next Year
On November 23rd, it was announced that Zico will be leaving Block B, the group which he had debuted under 7 years ago. This means that he will be parting ways with his current entertainment agency, Seven Seasons.
For those who did not know, Zico was the leader and also the main rapper of Block B. With him leaving the group, Block B will be left with the remaining 6 members, TaeIl, B-Bomb, JaeHyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung and P.O. According to Korean media outlets, except for Zico, the 6 members had already extended their contract with the company.
There has been talks about how Zico would eventually leave the company or become a solo artist especially since it was noticed how he did not extend his contract after the expiry back in September 2018.
Adding on, it was also revealed that Zico has plans to return to the music industry with his solo comeback next year.
Experts in the industry predict that there is a high chance that Zico might be establishing his own one-man agency. In addition, it was said that some of the staff from Seven Seasons had also left with Zico.
Block B first debuted in 2011 as a 7 member group with single album “Do U Wanna B?” and Zico’s last activity with Block B was seen back in January 2018 with their repackaged album “Re: MONTAGE”.
Fans who have seen the news were sad about him leaving but also at the same time, could not help but wish him all the best for his solo career.
