3 Pieces Of Advice From Park HyungSik And Park ShinHye On How To Handle Burnout

        ELLE Korea

"Doctor Slump" recently made its highly anticipated premiere on January 27th and K-Drama fans are already loving it! Park HyungSik and Park ShinHye reunite as the series' main leads. Working together previously on "The Heirs" they show that they've retained some of their previous synergy and portray their characters to absolute perfection.

They are currently making their rounds to various variety programs, filming YouTube content, and participating in photoshoots to promote the drama. The two recently collaborated with ELLE Korea for a couples photoshoot where they looked lovely in one frame. Together with the fashion magazine they even filmed some video content where they answered various fan questions. One asked the on-screen couple for some advice regarding burnout while working.

See what kind of heartfelt advice Park HyungSik and Park ShinHye gave down below!

        1. Grit Your Teeth And Do It

Before giving his true answer, Park HyungSik says that while working, he simply grits his teeth and works through it. There are times when he has trouble saying the script, however, in order to complete the project, he musters up the energy necessary and gets it done. While on one hand this may add to burnout, it's also a way to face the stress head on instead of leaving it for later.

        2. Making Time To Rest And Recharge

He quickly follows up that he consciously makes the decision to rest and recharge. When faced with burnout, it's usually unhelpful to continue working as the quality of work will naturally decline. Along with rest, HyungSik also talks about making a plan on what he must do in order to move forward. Thinking about the next step is necessary when stuck in a rut and faced with burnout. Knowing what steps to take, regardless of size, is important to overcoming any hurdle.

        3. Face It With The Thought "I Will Get Up Again"

Park ShinHye also gives sound advice to not allow that burnout to have total control over your life. She makes the valid point that it's unwise to let burnout drag out anymore than it should and instead face it with the mindset that "I will get up again." Burnout often renders us motionless, ensuring that we remain rooted in place. However, with the right mindset and desire to stand back up, we can move towards a future of fulfillment and happiness once more.

How do you deal with burnout? Have you tried any of these methods as described by Park HyungSik and Park ShinHye?
