Kim JaeJoong is a living legend who has paved the way for the idols that we know and love today. Through his various performances, he's mesmerized millions and can often be seen as a role model in every sense of the word. His vocal prowess, commanding stage presence, and uplifting personality are but a few qualities that make him such a wonderful artist.

This year he added more names to his list of titles: founder and Chief Strategy Officer of entertainment company iNKODE. He now has a direct hand in shaping the new generation of idols and getting them ready to stand on stage. Recently, he made an appearance on URBAN ZAKAPA Jo HyunAh's "Jo HyunAh's Thursday Night". They talked about a variety of different topics including their friendship, JaeJoong as a person, and what qualities he considers when looking at future trainees.

Find out Kim JaeJoong's criteria for potential idol hopefuls looking to enter iNKODE.

        1. A Person With Talent

While a basic set of skills is important, JaeJoong tends to look past that. Instead, he focuses on whether or not an individual has talent. Despite not having a firm foundation, with the talent they possess JaeJoong and his team will be able to teach them the basics and build them from the ground up.

        2. Able To Tune Into The Company's Worldview

Every trainee is unique and comes with their own skillset, ready to start on their path to becoming an idol. While having their own identity is important, JaeJoong believes a trainee who can mold themselves and incorporate the company's worldview will be a great asset. This way, they will be able to confidently work together in forging a path to stardom and success.

        3. Diamond In The Rough

There's a lot of factors to consider when deciding whether or not iNKODE should take in an idol hopeful. JaeJoong talks about wanting to find people who are just before the stage of becoming a gemstone. It really seems like JaeJoong would like to journey with these future trainees from start to finish, as he coolly states that those who are "already crafted" should look somewhere else.
