Buthaina has been a CARAT for years. She shares in this interview how she came to enter the fandom and what she loves about SEVENTEEN and WooZi, who she considers as her 'Home'.

Check out her interview below.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hey everyone! My name is Buthaina. I’m almost 17 years old (I’m still 16) and I’m a CARAT from the United Arab Emirates, also known as Dubai.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I’ve been a CARAT since October 2018, I stumbled across them by listening to one of their songs (I forgot which one it was..), which led me to listening to more of their songs and becoming a big fan of the group. Now it’s been 4 years since I joined and I’m really happy to come across them.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

For me, there are many reasons as to why I love SEVENTEEN, but the first reason why I love them is because their friendship makes my day every time, even if it’s just a picture or a short video. Another reason is they have a really great bond as a group and it makes me super happy as a CARAT to see them create unforgettable memories with one another and seeing them have each other’s backs for support makes it really special. The final reason is their songs never fail to make me happy as I love every member’s talents, which always makes me look forward to future releases.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

I remember DK catching my attention because I randomly thought he was the leader of SEVENTEEN (I'm so sorry S.Coups)... but he still does own a place in my heart now because of his vocals.

Who is your bias, and why?

It was really hard to pick a bias after DK, but my bias right now is WooZi. The reason why I bias him is because he never fails to surprise me with his talents, especially when it comes to composing and creating lyrics for the group’s songs. Another reason why I bias WooZi is that he taught me to stay resilient and never give up on something that you want to achieve, and that makes me tear up with joy considering how much effort he has put into creating a group that we all know and love today and I really appreciate the hard work he has put into SEVENTEEN as a whole. With me being a WooZidan for 1500+ days, I can now imagine myself writing all the reasons why I love him in a really long essay!

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side for new fans?

I have a lot of favorite title tracks that I wish to put on here, but I feel like the best option for new fans is 'Very Nice’, because it is upbeat and it will never get them tired from listening to it, which is why I recommend that one!

For the B-sides, I personally recommend ‘To You’ because you can get the same feeling from that song considering how lively and upbeat it is too, and the vocals will draw you into the song within seconds!

Can you recommend a fancam, Vlive, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias?

I feel like recommending a fancam is the best option and that is any fancam from the 'Left & Right’ era, the reason why is because it is very entertaining and you wouldn’t take your eyes off of it, and sometimes, it can give you a boost of positivity since the members are having fun in their fancams, which makes it better!

Can you also recommend a content video by your favorite group?

I seriously recommend the "Going SEVENTEEN" series! This will immediately become your favorite series since each episode boosts your serotonin levels with the members’ humor (they never fail to make a person laugh!) and it is really entertaining too!!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

One of my favorite lyrics is from 'Home; and that is: "Cause I’m your home" and "A place you can come to." Both of these lyrics have stood out to me every time I listen to it because it symbolizes that SEVENTEEN had saved my life by creating a place in my heart that’s called home.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

This is a quote from WooZi and I see it as an inspirational quote for others to keep chasing their dreams and never give up: "Don't wait for a chance to be given for you to shine. Create the chance yourself, chase your dreams."

Buthaina's message for WooZi:

I have so many things to say to him and SEVENTEEN, but what I can say right now is that I’m so proud of him for the progress he has made for himself and the group, and that I always wish them the best because I truly love them and they deserve the entire world. I want to thank them for keeping me happy and I’m really excited for their new album that’s coming this April! Good luck on your future releases SEVENTEEN. I love you so much and I hope you achieve many great things for the rest of the year!
