A Filipino Fan Talks About Her Favorite Actor Yoo YeonSeok & Why She Loves Him

Pearle is a fan of the Korean actor Yoo YeonSeok. The K-Drama fan shares 3 reasons why she loves the actor, how she was drawn to him, and her favorite drama of all time in her interview.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello! I'm Pearle and I am from the Philippines. I have watched countless series and movies. I’ve also had several Korean celebrity crushes and favorites but I’ve never been such a fan until I discovered Yoo YeonSeok.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite actor?

He is someone with so much talent. As an actor, he is able to portray every character given to him really well as well as delivers his lines with true emotions. As a singer and performer, he shows a totally different side of him - he has really good stage presence and does each performance from the heart and with his best as well as he connects well to the audience.
He has a bright and passionate personality. There is never a time that there would be a dull moment during interviews or variety show appearances. He doesn’t have a hard time getting along with the people that he gets to work with and makes a comfortable environment for everyone.
I love him especially, as he is human. Yoo YeonSeok does not have any hint of celebrity air around him. He loves his family dearly also a loyal friend and he is not afraid to show his funny side. He is also the type of person who prefers to dress casually and comfortably also shows so much love for his pet dog Rita. He always thanks the people whom he works with after a photoshoot or a drama shoot. His vlogs on his YouTube channel shows so much of him as a precious and loving human being.

Can you recommend dramas or movies starring your favorite actor for new fans?

"Hospital Playlist" will probably be my all-time favorite drama of his and would definitely recommend watching because of his over-the-top portrayal of Doctor Ahn JungWon- generous, goes above and beyond to care for his patients and loves children.

What is your favorite actor's influence on your daily life or yourself?

Since he appears in medical dramas, I learn more about the life of medical staff and also some terms that are not that familiar to me. He also inspires me to treasure the people around me and to thank them for their never ending love and support, and also to not be afraid to try new things.

What genre do you want your favorite actor to appear in? What's the reason?

Action drama. I want to see him play a role as a detective who can unsolve mysteries and crimes unconventionally. I think it would be a good addition to his acting career.

Describe him in 5 words.

Ahn JungWon from "Hospital Playlist"- I think no one else would have played this role better than Yoo YeonSeok. When I watched him portray this character, I really fell in love with every aspect from how he expressed the feelings, and showed the personality of the character. Also, his interaction with the other characters really played a part that made me fall in love with him as himself and as his character.

Would you like to see your favorite actor in variety shows? What type of variety show would you like them to do?

He's done variety shows in the past, and his honest and jolly personality made his appearances very meaningful. If he will be doing variety show appearances now, I'd love to him on a camping show as it is very visible in many of his YouTube channel videos that he loves camping. Just seeing him being so happy and sharing his knowledge as well as sharing his stories would be really fun to watch.
