A French BOAT Talks About Her Favorite Group ATBO And Her Bias Kim YeonKyu

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’s stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

 

Violaine from France is the next fan to answer our questions. She is a fan of ATBO, particularly of Kim YeonKyu! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

My name is Violaine and I am from France.

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I entered the fandom when the first comeback of ATBO came out. I found it amazing and I decided to be involved in ATBO by having a fanbase, and YeonKyu was free (without a fanbase in France at that time).

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

I love them because they are very talented, they have a strong stage presence for such a young age. They completed each other. We can see they connect to each other. I love THE BOYZ, they are my reference. So that’s why I love ATBO so much, i guess. They are the little brothers of THE BOYZ.

 

Who caught your attention at first and why?

YeonKyu was the first to catch my attention, he has a strong and angelic voice. And an amazing gaze on stage. He is made to be an complete artist.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

YeonKyu is my bias. Like I said, we can see that he is doing it with passion. He loves being on stage and his voice is unique.

 

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

‘Monochrome’ is the best! I listen to it everyday. ‘Graffiti’ is the B-side that I love the most. Listen to it! Both are so great!

 

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

The dance cover of ‘Gambler’ from MONSTA X is so great! Go watch it, it’s unbelievable.

 

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

All their dance covers are so good to watch. They are all incredible dancers by the way.

 

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

“You fall for me in an instant” from ‘Monochrome’. It’s the perfect sentence for them. When you see them, you fall in love with them.

 

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being happy and healthy?

Win first place on a music show and make a tour all around the globe.

 

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

Go to eat and talk for hours… I have so much things to say to him and I would love him to talk about his passion of music.

 

If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

Concert definitely! I dream about seeing ATBO on live stage.

 

Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias?

When YeonKyu was chosen to be part of ATBO at the end of the survival “The Origin”. It makes me cry every time.

 

What is one thing that you think is unique about your bias/bias group?

His voice. He can reach high notes like nobody does.
