A Thai ID Talks About Her Favorite Solo Artist B.I

Kate is an ID from Thailand, who wishes to share her reasons why B.I is her favorite artist, as well as her favorite tracks and content from the artist. Read her interview below!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello, I'm Kate. I'm an ID from Thailand.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I knew B.I since his debut. My friend talked about him everytime and made me listened to his song at a later time. But from now on I'm a big fan of him and I follow all his updates.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite artist?

I feel that HanBin (B.I) is a very talented person, whether it's singing, rapping, or dancing. Moreover, every song on his album is taken care of, from the lyrics to the final process, until it can come out as an album. This includes many other songs that he participated in composing, and those songs are also very famous. His performance on the stage can make everyone at the concert have fun with him. All of those eyes in the concert must be concentrating on his performance. If you have a chance to watch various video clips about him, you will really see what HanBin's character and personality are like. You will probably fall in love with him, just like me, for sure.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

The title track I would like to recommend is the song '겁도 없이 (Dare to Love) feat. Big Naughty'. It has a short episode film you can watch. The song's meaning revolves around falling in love fearlessly with a particular girl.

The B-side track I'd like to recommend is the song 'BTBT', which can be considered one of the most famous songs. No matter where you go, many people might have heard it before in this part.

Can you recommend a fancam, V-Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your favourite artist to our readers?

I'd like to recommend this clip, where we can listen to several songs that HanBin has chosen and compiled into one clip.

And another video I'd like to recommend is the "B.I Nineteen Global Spin" clip, the one that showed him singing with a live music band. Both the vocals of HanBin and the live music made it very perfect.

Aside from singing, I'd like everyone to see his strong and beautiful dance performance skill, especially his outstanding breakdance, where his moves are excellent.

In every performance, he always comes down from the stage to get closer to the fans and audience. This includes fanservice that makes ID feel like they need to wash their hair before going to his concerts every time!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

Actually I really like a lot of songs, but if I have to choose just one, I would like to recommend the song 'Re-Birth' from the album "Waterfall." It is HanBin's first comeback album. It's a song that has a very good meaning, and a part that I particularly like is "우연 같은 필연으로 또 만나 우리." It means, "We'll meet again like an inevitable coincidence." I appreciate HanBin every time he comes back, especially when I got to listen to this song.

Are there any quotes by your favorite artist that you would like to share?

The quote that I'd like to share the most, that many people may have heard before, is HanBin's words from a survival show. "I wish you did think I was being unfair. I wish you practiced so hard that you felt I was falsely accusing you." These words, when read, have the power to stir us up and provide motivation when we need to do something. Coming back to read this sentence, it is as a force to push us forward. HanBin even has it pasted on the door of the dance practice room at the company. Many people have used it as a reminder in books, creating a motivational impact during reading or studying.

What kind of influence has your favorite artist had on your daily life?

Nowadays, just the feeling of opening up social media and seeing the news or photos of artists makes me happy. I see his notification and listen to his music, and it can make a bad day to a good day for me. He makes my day, putting me into a good mood as I listen to his music. In addition, HanBin is also an inspiration for me to make an effort to learn Korean. Although I'm not good now, he's my inspiration.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

I feel that HanBin is a person who is aware of the love from his fanclub, and he also gives the love back to the fanclub as well. For example, he organizes events and cafes for the fans:
"💐Dear. ID": HanBin came to arrange the flowers and did everything by himself.
"🌊From. B.I": HanBin spends his time with ID during Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok). He reads and answers questions written by ID on fabric, and uses a pin to stick them back to prevent the paper from slipping.
"☕️coffee Bin for 1st membership": HanBin became a barista, serving tea and coffee and providing service himself.
"🥤B.I Year-End Banquet": HanBin is a barista and providing service himself.
