An EXO-L shares her 6-year journey of stanning EXO

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi. My name is Sakshi and I'm from India. I've been into K-pop since 2017 when I coincidentally came across Wanna One's Energetic Music Video and yeah, basically since then I've stan tons of group.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

Okay this is a long story (Laughs). So I was actually into K-dramas at that time and I watched this drama called "Moon Lovers: Scarlet heart ryeo" and Baekhyun from EXO was one of the cast in that drama and I loved his acting in that so I decided to google him and found out that he's a member of some group called EXO. At that time I was only into Wanna One and wasn't much interested in any other K-pop group so I just left it at there and didn't try to really know about EXO. But then one day I watched this another Kdrama, "Goblin", and well there was this really popular OST "Stay with me" Which is sung by Chanyeol from EXO and I immediately loved his voice so I decided to give EXO a try, listened to their music and well 6 years later here I am.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

What's not to like? Vocals? GOOD. Visuals? GOOD. Talent? GOOD. They can act, play instruments, write song, basically have one of the best vocals in K-pop. It's a perfect package if you ask me.

Who is your bias, and why?

It is Chanyeol. He is the reason I became ExoL and he's just amazing and talented. Despite being main rapper of the group, his vocals are on next level.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans? 

If you're new to the fandom or planning to stan them I'd recommend you "Monster" and "The First Snow". These are just the beginning. If you like any of the two songs, do check out more of their songs like Power, Lucky One and Miracles in december.

Let me tell you, EVERY EXO fancam or cover is ICONIC. But the best according to me is Kai's fancam and D.O's Cover of rewrite the stars.

Can you also recommend a content video by your favorite group?

I loved EXO on Knowing bros. The whole episode is hilarious and I promise you're going to love it.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

  "You even liked my clumsy moments But I wonder if I even deserve that love"

This song was written by members of EXO for EXOLs during the time that can be considered as one of the worst phase of EXO. The song is called "Promise" and was written when EXO lost three members just when they were starting to become famous and it was a pure chaos. This song means a lot to Exols.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life? 

EXO has influenced me to try my best. They have been through a lot but still never stopped trying. I'm gonna be honest here I actually feel EXO didn't raised to the fame they deserved, and maybe they feel that too? Nevertheless they still try their best in every field they work, be it acting, or modelling or singing. They give me hope to become the best version of me in every way possible.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)? 

Oh, there are tons of misunderstanding other fans and non fans have about EXO. The most infamous one is that "They had it all easy". Sure they debuted in one of the best company but that's all others see. The fact that it was tough to debut in SM entertainment or the fact that their own "fans" hate them is just something not many people know about. Three most popular members left EXO in their prime time, all the achievements been overlooked and what not. I just wants the world to know just how amazing and talented the members of EXO are. Their talent is been overshadowed by the fact that they come from good company and that's sad.

-        If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

I guess I'll go to the fan sign cause atleast I'll get to talk to them.
