Fresh off its latest comeback with 'Karma', PIXY recently performed at the Loft at Center Stage in Atlanta on Sunday as a part of its ambitious 22 stop throughout the United States. Working in conjunction with Leo Presents, a new promoter in the K-Pop space, PIXY and the rest of the AllArt team pulled out all the stops to ensure that its fans experienced a great show.

PIXY, self-described as a group of fallen fairies without wings, consists of five members: DiA (Leader/Main Vocalist), Lola (Main Rapper/Visual), SuA (Sub Vocalist), DaJeong (Lead Vocalist), and RinJi (Main Dancer/Maknae). Known for their complex choreography and darker sound, the group did not disappoint despite an injury, forcing Lola to perform in a chair for most of the show.

The show started eerily as a stuffed doll flew through the venue, suspended on a line. Each member then walked onto the stage before launching into the title track of the group’s 2022 comeback, 'Villian'. Despite missing a member from the choreography, each member was able to fill the void, exhibiting multiple levels in its formations.

The group continued to haunt the audience and launched into a moody set of 'Falling', 'Wings', and 'Addicted'. Similarities to another dark-themed K-Pop group, DREAMCATCHER, was immediately apparent. However, despite similar themes, each member put their own stamp on the performance. Between Lola’s and RinJi’s lower register raps and vocals and SuA, DiA, and DaJeong’s vocals, each song stood out.

The thumping electronic beat of 'Natural' changed the whole vibe of the concert, with each member wandering the stage to give its WINXY (PIXY’s fandom name) fan service. They then followed it up with songs from their older "Fairy Forest: Bravery" album, 'Let Me Know' and 'Insomnia'. The crowd roared with 'Let Me Know'’s catchy chorus: “Let me know, boy, let me, let me know.”

The group then performed 'Whisper' and 'Déjà Vu' before finally taking its first and only break in the concert. As the other members went backstage, DiA performed a solo stage and covered Camila Cabello’s 'Never Be The Same'. Her stage presence held the crowd is an excited, but quiet hush.

The rest of members then returned and performed a dance tutorial of the point moves for the group’s latest comeback 'Karma'. SuA teased the crowd and said that there would be a quiz at the end of the night. Yet, to WINXY’s surprise, DiA jokingly demanded that everyone do the dance together and a video crew was brought onto stage to complete the challenge.  Immediately after, PIXY then launched into an energic performance of 'Karma'.

After retreating behind standing microphones behind balloon letters, PIXY ended the night with two emotional ballads: 'Still with me (To:Winxy)' and 'Greetings'. Both songs showed the group’s dynamic range, pairing the dark nature of its other songs with ballads that would be a perfect fit the next great K-Drama OST.

As a tradition at most K-Pop shows, the group returned to perform a single song as an encore, the unreleased 'Trick or Treat'.

Despite the promoter’s relative inexperience with K-Pop tours, Leo Presents caught on quick. Fans were able to not only have the standard experience of Hi-Touches and group photos, but attendees were also able to have a full fansign experience, as well as individual selfies with each member of PIXY.

After Atlanta, the group moved onto to perform two last concerts in Orlando and Tampa before returning to Korea.

Kpopmap received a complementary media and photo pass for this concert from the promoter Leo Presents.  It did not influence its coverage of this event.
