KAACHI Tells Their Story With Their Latest Single ‘Extra Special’

On 2nd of September, 2021 Frontrow Records announced that KAACHI will be releasing their fourth single ‘Extra Special’ on Spotify - just weeks after the release of their single ‘The one Thing’.

KAACHI’s Second Single Extra Special, is an uplifting ode to their beloved fans - UNI-K. The song’s lyrics express a melodic, confidence-boosting sentiment, urging fans to follow their dreams.

The single was a collaborative effort between London and Seoul, with the writing, producing and recording completed across both cities. Andy Ryu, Kpop producer and CEO of Pison Contents / MusicSpray who also produced and wrote the single, based in Seoul and San Francisco, commented “I dedicate this song to KAACHI, who had a lot of struggle and faced a lot of challenges when they initially debuted in the UK. I wanted to contribute to create something that was going to give them more confidence and energy while they perform in Korea - yet I wanted it to lyrically capture their truth from their debut.”

Monica, FrontRow’s CEO and KAACHI’s Executive Producer shared that “The song ‘Extra Special’ is a UK-Korea musical production collaboration sharing KAACHI’s unique story. The members have been working really hard with both teams to ensure we could get the best results possible. Coco, who recorded in Seoul, shared her experience: “We recorded the original English demo and part of the single in London with Dele and Jonas. I had to fly to Seoul during the recording period, so the other members continued to record in London while I was staying in Korea. I recorded my parts in Seoul, and it was the first time I recorded with the producers Andy H.S Ryu and Jongseon Shin. Thankfully, Andy directed me in detail to find the best voice for each part, which was assisted by the London Production team who were directing the ad-libs and harmonies.  Both teams worked super hard to make sure the process could be as efficient as possible. It was so nice to be able to work with all of them - I‘m very thankful to all of them.”

 

KAACHI exclusively performed their latest singles ‘Extra Special’ and ‘The One Thing’  for New Beginnings with Kpop Superfest. Hosted by Music Spray, Pison Contents and Digisonic - South Korea’s No.1 immersive audio production company. The show will air on SBS TV on 2nd of September 2021!

KAACHI is a British Pop girl group formed by FrontRow Records, consisting of members Coco, Nicole and Chunseo. They debuted on 15 April 2020 with the digital single "Your Turn" hitting over 20 million YouTube views, following with their second single ‘Photo Magic’ (November 4th 2020) and their latest release ‘The One Thing’ (19th August 2021).
