Kpopmap Fan Interview: An Indian AROHA Talks About Her Favorite Group ASTRO, Starting Her Journey Since "True Beauty"

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Anjana is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from India and is a fan of ASTRO! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

I am Anjana basically from Kerala, India. Recently working in Bangalore. I am a doctor (House surgeon).

How and when did you enter the fandom?

In 2020 December by chance, I saw a "True Beauty" clip on Instagram and then I thought to try K-Drama for once. So I started watching "True Beauty" and instantly I fell for Eunu. Then out of curiosity, I started searching about him and then I found out about ASTRO. To be exact I started following them on 24th of December 2020.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

Main reason is their songs. All their songs are soul-soothing. And also obviously they all are good looking, multitalented and hardworking as well. Even during my hardest times their songs gave me strength. Also, they care about their fans so much and they adore their AROHAs soo much.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Cha EunWoo ("True beauty"). Previously I was not so fond of K-Pop and truly speaking I didn't want to try also. But then luckily I met EunWoo through "True Beauty" drama (not to mention it was my first time watching a K-Drama ) and all my thoughts about K-Pop, K-Dramas, and K-World completely changed. Now I am a big fan of ASTRO and K-Pop.

Who is your bias, and why?

I don't have a specific bias because they all are equally talented as well as visuals. So it's difficult to point out a person.. So my answer will be ot6....

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

'Always You' is my all time favorite. And also 'After Midnight'.

And for B-side track I prefer 'Butterfly' and 'Run'.

Can you recommend a fancam, V-Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

I prefer "Astro Zone" and also 'Footprint' song which is filmed in DDOCA by ot6.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

I will recommend watching ASTRO Play's to know the real and playful side of ASTRO.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

Their songs are like a daily dose of happiness in my life. And also an escape from all my worries.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

Actually, it's my first time fangirling. So it's a new experience for me and I am really enjoying it. Whenever I am seeing their videos I will become excited and will start hyping up though I know that they are not seeing me.
