Kpopmap Fan Interview: An Indonesian TO MOON Talks About Her Favorite Group ONEUS & Her Bias Xion

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’ stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

 

Nora is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Indonesia and is a fan of ONEUS and more particularly of Xion! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello Kpopmap readers!!! My name is Nora and I am from Indonesia! Nice to meet you all :))

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

It was in 2020, I randomly saw an Instagram account posting about ONEUS ‘A Song Written Easily’ teaser and when I tried to listen to it I fell in love with them right away.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

They’re special. I think they’re different from other groups. They have their own charm that is not easy to find in other groups. Also all their music is soty (song of the year) material. I love how when they’re asked to cover a song, they didn’t change the original version much, but still kept it and added their own color to it. that’s very sexy of them.

 

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Lee KeonHee! At first glance, he really caught my attention. He is cute but hot as hell at the same time.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

For now, it is Xion. I love how he always encourages us by writing 시온명언 on fancafe and it really touches my heart. Also, he really cares and loves TO MOON which makes me have to repay his love even more.

 

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

For the title track, I highly recommend ‘A Song Written Easily’!! This song has a catchy melody with beautiful lyrics that will melt your heart in one listen~

 

For B-side track is… ‘We’re in Love’. Seriously, I really really like this song. This song is perfect for a summer vacation and you guys should give it a listen!

 

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

All of 시온감성 aka Xion’s emotion VLives!! It’s all my time favorite.

 

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

Please check out ONEUS cover of ‘On Rainy Days’ by HIGHLIGHT! Their harmonization is everything. And maybe.. “Show me the MWM” season 1 & 2? 👀.

 

 

 

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

‘LUNA’ chorus!! When it goes like: “한밤에 밤에 핀 눈부신 빛처럼~ 달빛에 반해 핀 하이얀 꽃처럼~ 한순간 사라진 하룻밤 꿈처럼~ 달 아래 너는 참 아름답구나~”. It’s so so poetic and beautiful.

 

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

“I think that there is no good path or successful path even though you get hurt or scared and have tough moments, I hope you know that you are doing well and that Xion is always walking with you.” — Son Xion (©oneus_trans)

 

What is your favorite group/bias’ influence on your daily life?

Always keeps me motivated and makes me never give up easily because I still have a long way to go :).

 

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

When we are together (as a fandom) we support each other, have fun together, help each other, defend each other, and work together to give something memorable for ONEUS.

 

For you, what is the best stage outfits until now? Please share a picture or fan cam.

For me, their best stage outfit is this white hanbok. Just watch when they dance, the hanbok seems to flow with their movements and it looks stunning.

 

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being Happy and Healthy?

I wish in the future that ONEUS can be much more successful than now. That they became a highly respected group, became the idol of the idols. Also I hope their songs can always chart high in the music charts and win all the trophies in every music show.

 

If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

I will choose to go to the concert because this is one of my dreams!! I really want to see them dance and sing live in front of my eyes, enjoy their performances with other TO MOONs, and make lots of great memories in the concert ^^

 

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

In the morning, I will take DongJu for a bicycle ride to enjoy the cool morning air. Then during the day, I will cook him his favorite food and then enjoy it together while watching television. In the afternoon, I will take him to watch theatre together because DongJu loves theatre so much!! Then in the evening, we will walk together under the cherry blossom trees enjoying the beautiful flowers blooming under the moonlight. Doesn’t that sound really fun?

 

Describe them in 5 words.

Amazing performers with good personalities.

 

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

When people say that 4th generation K-Pop music all sounds the same when ONEUS is also 4th generation!! Please try to listen to their entire discography, and you will find a variety of their songs with different genres of course. stop sleeping on ONEUS!!!!
