LUCY Releases The Music Video For 'Haze', A Perfect Comfort Song For Everyday Youth

LUCY is a 4 member South Korean band underneath Mystic Story consisting of Shin YeChan (leader & violinist), Choi SangYeop (guitarist & vocalist), Cho WonSang (bassist, producer & vocalist), and Shin GwangIl (drummer, vocalist & maknae).

They first captured the hearts and attention of the public by participating on the survival show JTBC's "Super Band". They would later debut as a team on May 8th, 2020 with "DEAR" and the title track 'FLOWERING'. The band's name itself, LUCY, is extra special to the group due to the name being shared with a dog they used to play with that lived close to where the members practiced. 

If you frequent sites like Spotify, and enjoy South Korean indie, ballad or R&B playlists, you might be familiar with their songs: 'Jogging', 'Run To You', 'Unbelievable', 'I Got U', 'PLAY', 'Snooze', 'Hero', 'You're Right', or 'Rolling Rolling' to name a few.

On August 17th, 2023, LUCY released their 4 track "FEVER" EP which contains the following: 'Hot!', 'Haze', 'Magic', and 'So What'.

On August 17th, 2023 on the group's official YouTube Channel, LUCY ISLAND, they released a relatable, and refreshing take on youth, young love, and even the difficulties many individuals face. Within the song, they mention the words, "You are almost there", "Even after passing they didn't know the way to stop", "Even though I'm not there for you, I'll light your every step", and "We want to runaway even in dreams". This shows a possible reference to how many individuals use music as not only healing but as a hidden comfort.
