The sub-unit duo, which consists of MAMAMOO members Solar and MoonByul, MAMAMOO+ continues to introduce their bright and vibrant musical color with their first mini-album "TWO RABBITS" after a series of single releases. The duo made their official debut with ‘Better’ featuring BIG Naughty and since then, they’ve been solidifying their signature sound in the industry.

With "TWO RABBITS", the duo made it clear what kind of music they want to be known for, mirroring their colorful personality as artists and as individuals.

The EP opens with ‘Intro: Two Rabbits’, establishing the sound of the entire release. In this release, MAMAMOO+ refers to themselves as rabbits, and the intro track serves as an invitation down the rabbit hole of MoonByul and Solar’s combined double-kill charms.

The fun and energetic tune doubles with the title track ‘dangdang’. As cute as the title sounds, the dance-pop track depicts a young and reckless kind of infatuation love. MAMAMOO+ joyfully clap and dance along to their overwhelming feelings in whispered harmony and hip performance.

The fun continues with the EDM-infused pop ‘I Like This’. MAMAMOO+ exudes confidence in the laid-back track flavored with the duo’s harmonious blend.

MAMAMOO+ takes listeners into a shift as the album gets a little mellow and sentimental with ‘Starry Sea’, a track perfect for a nighttime beach trip. Solar continues to show off her soft and calm belts and MoonByul with her signature melodic rapping with the track.

The mini-album wraps up with the pre-released track ‘Save Me’, a ballad that stands out among the other tracks on the release. ‘Save Me’ is a calm listen despite holding a message of pain in separation.

MAMAMOO+ music seems to lean on the early music of MAMAMOO, thus reviving their fun and quirky image back then before the group took a shift in genre. While it somehow lacks the usual dynamic and powerful performance MAMAMOO is always capable to offer to some of the loyal fans' dismay, MAMAMOO+ is here to offer something else. And that is to create a pop for listeners and for themselves to enjoy. So far they’ve succeeded in doing such.
