Daejeon Observatory (대전시민천문대)

Introduction

Daejeon Observatory is the first observatory to open to the public. Standing 3 floors above ground, the observatory offers celestial viewing through telescopes, lectures on constellation using virtual star lights from a celestial sphere projector, and exhibitions.

Transportation

 

From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Daejeon Yuseong (대전 유성) Bus Terminal.
From Daejeon Yuseong Bus Stop take Bus No. 911 or 704 and get off at Hwanwha Chemical R&D Center(한화석유화학연구소) Bus Stop.
Go straight for 130 m, turn right at the corner, and walk along the Gwahak-ro(과학로) for approx. 300 m.
