Whenever K-Pop Idols from various groups open their personal Instagram accounts, it’s always cause for celebration. The most notable lately was when every TWICE member opened their personal Instagram accounts after seven years since debut. Every fan was positively shook— and we all did celebrate.

While these idols open their accounts, fans look forward to their choice of usernames, and some select idols have shown us creativity and uniqueness through this. We’ll list 10 of our favourite most creative Instagram handles of K-Pop idols, and you will agree that these handles are definitely clever and original.

1. NCT’s HaeChan – @haechanahceah

One NCT member that debuted his personal Instagram this year is HaeChan. His handle is his stage name written in normal and mirrored versions, both sharing the last ‘n’. Considering HaeChan is a Gemini, this mirror interpretation of his name is the most appropriate and original username he could adopt, and we are so here for it.

2. IVE’s Jang WonYoung – @for_everyoung10

WonYoung shows fans that she is indeed a smart and witty idol. The ‘forever’ in her handle translates to ‘yeongwon (영원)' in Korean, which is her name but with the syllables interchanged. The number 10 is meaningful as well, because when the numbers are separated, 1 is pronounced ‘one’ or ‘won’, and 0 in Korean is ‘yeong (영)'. The combination of the two comes to WonYoung, which is her name, so it’s ‘forever young, WonYoung’. Talk about an interesting brain quiz!

3. (G)I-DLE’s MiYeon – @noodle.zip

MiYeon’s name is pretty easy to pronounce, so much so that saying it quickly would result in the name sounding like ‘myeon (면)’, which translates to noodles in Korean. Adding .zip to the end shows that her Instagram is a compression of memories she makes in her idol and personal life, and she wishes to share that with fans. How creative is that?

4. TXT’s YeonJun – @yawnzzn

YeonJun is loved by a huge number of MOAs, and him being the first TXT member to open an Instagram account shook the fandom. His handle is pretty much his name, but creatively and cleverly spelt. It was most possible the cutest thing he could ever come up with, and fans still aren’t over it.

It’s been a while since the Red Velvet members became Instagram inclined, but Joy’s username still puts a smile on a lot of fans’ faces. Befitting her positive aura and charming smile, Joy continuously lets Reveluvs know that she is their joy, and they are her joy as well.

6. MAMAMOO’s WheeIn – @whee_inthemood

WheeIn always brings fresh and new ideas to MooMoos, and she definitely channeled that energy into creating her Instagram handle. She combines her name with ‘the mood’, displaying different sides of herself to her fans through the platform.

7. Kwon EunBi – @silver_rain._

Another clever and creative take, much like her former member WonYoung’s handle, is EunBi’s. EunBi translated her name to English, where Eun (은) means ‘silver’ and Bi (비) means ‘rain’. The idea is refreshing and different, and fans love her creative mind all the more.

8. TWICE’s TzuYu – @thinkaboutzu

Like we mentioned earlier, TWICE members shook the industry when they made their Instagram debut. Among them, TzuYu’s handle is one of the most ingenious usernames. She lets ONCE know she thinks about them, and as she passes this message, she puts in the first syllable of her name to replace ‘you’. As expected of TWICE’s smart and beautiful maknae.

9. BTS’s RM – @rkive

Much like MiYeon’s name, RM makes use of the first letter of his stage name and adds ‘kive’ to it. As you must have noticed, this pronounced together sounds like ‘archive’, and his Instagram will serve as his personal archive of memories that he wishes to share with fans.

10. NCT's Mark – @onyour__mark

Another NCT member that has a creative handle is Mark. As it is a popular name both in and out of the K-Pop world, Mark put a twist on his to stand out. Mark uses the famous countdown ‘on your mark’ as his handle, and fans are ready and set to go alongside him on his journey in his career and life.
