K-Pop idols and celebrities are trained in many different aspects to succeed in their career. From acting classes to vocal lessons, and even English classes, idols are trained in many different ways! One of the ways idols can get trained is through dance lessons. They are taught different dance styles so they can perfectly execute any choreography given to them for a comeback.

While many idols have never trained in dancing before or are veterans in the craft, many studied two particular dance styles: ballet and contemporary dance. Numerous idols are experienced in these particular fields and learning these dance styles is what led them to become idols in the first place. From the ones you already knew about to some that may shock you, here are 7 K-Pop idols and celebrities who studied ballet or contemporary dance.

The idol dancer has trained in the art for years now and began his journey in middle school. JiMin was one of the top dance students at his high school and his skills show it. Even when he is doing choreography for his group, fans notice that JiMin's feet are sometimes in a ballet foot position, possibly coming from his years of training!
