When the story of "Arthdal Chronicles" first began to unravel, the K-Drama community was swept away by its terrific storytelling, awe-inspiring character relations, and riveting action scenes. Four years later, "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" seems to have taken things to the next level. These past few weeks have been mesmerizing as we dived even deeper into the drama's lore and watched the nail-biting action take place right in front of our eyes.

The main cast in Lee JoonGi (EunSeom/SaYa), Shin SaeKyeong (TanYa), Jang DongGun (TaGon), and Kim OkBin (Tae AlHa), along with the rest, have done well to keep audiences glued to their seats with their phenomenal acting. Now, only the finale awaits as the series looks to close the door on one of the most epic stories of K-Drama history.

With this in mind, there are still more than a handful of storylines that must be concluded. So here are some questions that must be answered heading into the finale.

1. Will TaGon fall in battle?

The last episode was a reminder of how devious TaGon can be and what lengths he would go in order to ensure victory. Driving the Ago Union into a corner, he, along with the rest of his men, were ready to set the forest ablaze to prevent them from escaping. However, the tables quickly turned as the Arthdal forces ended up being the ones caught in a sea of flames. While TaGon is mighty, it's difficult to know whether he will survive as he always does or if he will finally fall in battle.

 

2. Will the Momo tribe come to the Ago Union's aid?

The Arthdal forces did the unthinkable and struck down those from the Momo tribe. While EunSeom and the rest of the Ago Union are currently fighting for their lives, there seems to be a high chance that they survive. And when this happens, fans are curious if EunSeom will inform the Momo tribe of their slain brethren, thus prompting them to honor galma (karma) and join in the fight against Arthdal.

 

3. Is the divine horse Kanmoreu gone forever?

While TaGon seemed to obsess over totally becoming Aramun Haesulla, he does the unthinkable and strikes down Kanmoreu right in front of EunSeom's eyes. However, the night before, EunSeom asks his trusty horse to return to him no matter the distance or place. Could this be foreshadowing that Kanmoreu isn't truly gone? Or will we no longer see the horse of the heavens?

 

4. Will the three children of prophecy live until the end?

While they've been doing well to survive so far, the three children of prophecy are continually met wit trial after trial. Although wishful thinking allows audiences to believe that EunSeom, SaYa, and TanYa will surely make it until the very end. However, in a war where there's only one winner, there's still a chance that one of them is taken down in the process.

 

5. Who will be the final pairing be between EunSeom, SaYa, and TanYa?

After talking with Tae AlHa, SaYa expressed his desire to marry TanYa. However, as was displayed earlier in the series, TanYa and EunSeom shared a blood-pumping romance scene that practically solidified their feelings towards each other.

However, with two episodes left there is a chance things might change which would force TanYa to take SaYa's hand in marriage. This question won't be answered until the final credits start to roll.

 

6. After the dust settles, will SaYa and EunSeom be able to become friends?

Being on two opposite sides of the war and growing up in two completely different settings, SaYa and EunSeom share more differences than similarities. However, the aftermath of war can bring about various changes in a relationship. As the curtain closes on "Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun", it will be interesting to note whether or not EunSeom and SaYa will take their brotherly bond to heart and form a budding friendship.

 

7. Will EunSeom become both Inaishingi and Aramun Haesulla?

After receiving a sign from the heavens, EunSeom accepted his mission of becoming both Inaishingi and Aramun Haesulla. Now, as the series heads into climactic ending, we will need to see if he will be able to do so. And in taking on the mantle of these two gods of legend, will he be able to unite the nations under a banner of peace?

 

8. What will happen to NunByeol and the Neanthal?

Despite failing to take down TaGon at the appointed time, NunByeol still holds an immense power that no normal man could rival. Now that she and her sister, ChaeEun, have met up with their trusty Neanthal comrades, it will be interesting to see her next move. Despite her sister's worries, NunByeol could still look to take TaGon's life, and if he doesn't fall in a sea of flames, she might be the person to deliver the final blow.

 

9. How will Ikomahis play into the story?

"Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword Of Aramun" introduced a new concept to audiences: 'Ikohmahis.' Just like Inaishingi and Aramun Haesulla, this seems to be another piece of storied lore within the Arthdal universe. It will interesting to see how the writers approach this topic and ensure there are no loose ends within the final two episodes.

 

10. Who will be the ruler of Arthdal?

With TaGon at war and Tae AlHa currently laying low, it seems TanYa sees an opportunity to enter the political fray. Using her status as High Priestess, she looks to take over Arthdal and have it ready to hand over to EunSeom when the moment comes. However, based on the teasers, this task won't be as easy as it seems. With two episodes left, there are sure to be a few more schemes left to be had, raising the question of who will sit on the throne in the very end.
