Netflix has done it again and added another impressive hit to its ever-growing catalogue of K-Content. On October 6th, "Ballerina" made its highly anticipated premiere onto the streaming site, mesmerizing audiences all across the globe. Leading up to its release, via the platform's official social media accounts, there were countless teasers in the form of posters, small highlights, and cast reactions.
The gritty action film employs a cast featuring Jun JongSeo, Kim JiHun, and Park YooRim. The story revolves around Ok Joo (Jun JongSeo), a former bodyguard with a firm mastery in martial arts, gunmanship, motorcycle riding and much more. Through a final request from her ballerina friend, Choi MinHee (Park YooRim), Ok Joo seeks to exact revenge againt Choi Pro (Kim JiHun).
The roughly hour and a half long movie was riveting from the start, raising the heartrates of viewers everywhere. It had a mixture of drama, action, and a clear distinction between good and evil that needed to be kept in check. Overall, the movie absolutely delivered, but don't just take our word for it!

1. Heartwarming Friendship

The premise of the show revolves around the rekindled friendship of high school classmates Ok Joo and Choi MinHee. When they first have their fateful reunion, Ok Joo seems cold, tough, and withdrawn, purchasing a cake for her own birthday. However, thanks to MinHee's bright and vibrant persona, the former bodyguard finds a newfound joy in her life.
Their relationship offers a certain warmth that takes over your entire body. Although they are seemingly polar opposites, they show that opposites do attract, complementing each other as if they found their missing piece.
2. Intense Action Scenes
From teasers alone, there were hints that blood was to be shed. Whether it came from the film's strong, tough-as-nails heroine or the bad guys she would face, it seemed no one would leave unscathed. Interwoven into the storyline are intense action scenes that does not hold back its punches and isn't afraid to let the bullets fly. Just like its name, the action scenes of "Ballerina" are tinged with gracefulness and pure adrenaline that will leave you yearning for more.

Aside from its suspense-filled storyline and moving character relationships, "Ballerina" is a visually stunning masterpiece. Every scene was beautifully shot, with each frame just as enchanting as the last.
When the action subsided, the Netflix film presented us with scenes of spellbinding quality that left viewers absolutely speechless. From wide shots showcasing the beautiful sunset to a troupe of ballerinas floating across the stage, when it came to cinematography, there was everything to love.
4. A Gripping Story Of Revenge
At its core, "Ballerina" is a revenge story that does not let up. The Netflix film keeps its foot firmly on the gas pedal as Ok Joo looks to carry out Choi MinHee's request. In honor of her dear friend, Ok Joo isn't afraid to get hurt in the process.
While she's a skilled fighter, not everything goes according to plan. Despite that, as she weaves in the punches, you'll find yourself mesmerized by her efforts, hoping that she'll be able to walk away alive and well at the very end.
"Ballerina" was a tremendously fascinating film, causing millions to take to social media to rave about the film.
