Netflix has developed a knack for coming out with phenomenal series that capture the hearts of millions. They've become more than a streaming hub but a studio with proven results, able to bring the most captivating stories to screens everywhere. Most especially in the K-Drama department, the streaming giant shows no signs of slowing down producing hit after hit. This time, Netflix has just released one of the most highly anticipated dramas of the year, "Doona!"
The webtoon-based drama features main leads Suzy as Lee DooNa and Yang SeJong as Lee WonJoon. Lee DooNa is the main vocalist for idol group Dream Sweet. However, due to an accident, she has stepped away from the spotlight. Lee WonJun is a university student who just moved away from home and ended up at the same share house as DooNa. They meet and life is never quite the same for either of them.
"Doona!" seems to have everything from breathtaking drama to joy-inducing romance. Netflix has done it again and released a series that everyone will love. Lee DooNa is in a precarious position, currently recovering from all the hurt and pressure she's endured over the years. Then there's Lee WonJoon who wishes to live a normal life, but still carries a weight on his shoulders. But they find each other and the world starts to brighten up all around them.
While their romance doesn't start right away, they slowly build upon a foundation of friendship and comradery that eventually blossoms into love. As their relationship develops right in front of your eyes, you'll end up glued to your seat waiting for the two to realize the true feelings that resides in their hearts.
4. A Surge Of Youthful Bliss
There's just something special about your 20s that helps to create unforgettable memories. Watching Lee WonJoon navigate life on his own while going to school and working multiple jobs is both charming and a source of inspiration.
Then, when he's together with Lee DooNa, they showcase a loveable chemistry that will either make you reminisce on your college memories or excited to experience them for the first time.
