Set to air the first episode of Mnet "I-LAND" on June 26, many K-Pop fans and lovers are slowly paying attention on the upcoming audition program put together by CJ ENM as well as Big Hit Entertainment.

Previously, Kpopmap had shared the news on some of the information about "I-LAND" such as the production fees. This time, we are here to share some of the possible things viewers can expect from the upcoming audition program and how they stand out from other audition programs.

#1 Audition program of a higher quality

Since "I-LAND" aims to produce a K-Pop group of the next generation, the trainees appearing on the program would have to have the skills and talents to do so. In addition to how "I-LAND" is going to be selecting the trainees through popularity votes, there is a very high chance that all of the trainees are equipped with the visuals, talents and charismatic personalities to hook the viewers onto the show.

Thanks to the pre-selection of the trainees, those who will be appearing on "I-LAND" have at least undergone 6 months of training. This would definitely raise the bar compared to any other audition programs.

#2 Global idol group

As the preparation for "I-LAND" began 3 years ago, the production team had been holding audition in many countries overseas.

It is also expected that many of the trainees appearing on "I-LAND" would have various backgrounds and nationalities.

#3 Offline set

Just like any other audition programs, there will always be a specific set and training center designed by the production team. Looking at the production fee as well as the large scale of promotion CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment are investing in, the two companies would probably not let the sets go even after the end of the program.

K-Pop fans would probably get to experience of the sets once the audition program comes to an end.

Some of these includes the training centers where the participants will carry out their training and practices.

#4 Special goods

When it comes to K-Pop, there is no way that you can leave out K-Pop goods. If you recall, Mnet "Produce 101" series, they had also released official badges, t-shirts and accessories for each seasons.

There is a high chance where viewers of "I-LAND" would also be given the opportunity to get their hands on special goods.

#5 Use of Weverse app

Weverse is a mobile application which artists under Big Hit Entertainment are using to communicate with their fans. For "I-LAND" to be considered as a truly global audition program, there is also no reason why they would not be using the application to hold voting among fans from all over the world.
