6 Most Romantic K-Drama Lines From The First Half Of 2022

JTBC / tvN

As we have passed the halfway mark of the year, it is time to reflect on the K-Dramas we have enjoyed thus far. This year has shown us several top-tier dramas in terms of story, acting, and much more.

One of the best parts of any drama is the script. It's always fun to see which lines and catchphrases will catch on and stay in your head after finishing a drama. This is especially true for romantic lines.

One of the charms of romantic K-Dramas is being able to feel butterflies in your stomach because of the sweet plot and musings of the characters. So, we've compiled a list of the most romantic K-Drama lines from the first half of 2022.

Note: This list is not a ranking and is in no particular order. This list only includes dramas that started and finished airing in the first half of 2022 (before July 1st).

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the mentioned dramas.

1. "My Liberation Notes"

"So, worship me. No love allowed. Worship me."

After MiJung confronts Mr. Gu about his daily drinking habit, he asks her what she supposes he should do, if not drink. She makes the bold suggestion that he should worship her. This line shook the K-Drama world with its refreshing honesty. No frills, just honesty. The word 'worship' gave their relationship a new dynamic. Its multiple meanings in different contexts added to the weight of what she was asking him to do, too. It was an unorthodox but deep start to a beautiful pairing with a deeper connection.

2. "Our Blues"

"I like you. Have me or I'll give myself to you."

The chemistry and air between young EunHee and HanSu were so cute that this scene on the steps was on repeat in our minds for a while after the episode ended. After EunHee made her bold but slightly awkward yet cute confession, she went in for a kiss, proving her point. It is a feel-good scene to watch when you want to swoon.

3. "Twenty-Five Twenty-One"

"Love. It's love. I'm in love with you, Na HeeDo. I don't need a rainbow."

After they defined their relationship as being a rainbow, Baek YiJin made a heart-fluttering clarification using this lovely line. Their relationship was not a rainbow, but it was love. The impact of this line becomes deeper, much like the whole drama, once you watched it for the second time, whilst knowing the ending. If you haven't seen it yet, make sure to watch it; not once, but twice, to fully understand the beauty of their relationship.

4. "Business Proposal"

"I'm going to try to make sure that nothing you worry about happens, HaRi. So, stay by my side."

Hearing this line would easily put your fears at bay when they come from the man you love. This endearing line said by Kang TaeMu to ensure Shin HaRi about their relationship not only gives you butterflies but has sincerity seeping through the seams. This was one of the most charming things about this couple, their ability to stay by each other's side regardless of naysayers and other factors.
