As someone who has been following "My Demon" since it released, I want to talk about the amount of theories surrounding this K-Drama. At the time of writing, us "My Demon" fans have to wait another week until the next episode, and I, for one, am far too impatient. So, let's talk about the theories, shall we?

Before I go on, let me just say that I truly think this is one of Song Kang's best roles and whoever cast him needs a raise. Also, whoever paired him with Kim YooJung deserves a hefty bonus because their chemistry is unbelievably insane.

Now, onto the theories....

1. The beggar lady being God

For anyone else who has been keeping up with the latest episodes, I am sure we all know by now that this theory was in fact, true. As someone who loves to come up with theories, I must say- I did think this lady was an important character because there was no reason for the directors to have her on the screen for no reason, and multiple times at that. Her role definitely had some significance in the drama, so I knew she must be someone who would help them at least. The only thing is I never looked at the detailed picture and noticed the hints like the wordings on her hat. In the picture above, it is visible that her cap says "GOOD" but with one O wearing off, making it look like "GOD" instead.

From what I can see, she didn't seem like she was able to help GuWon and DoHee with their mission, so now I really wonder what her next plans are seeing as how they managed to stay alive. Will she be the one to bring them down again? I hope not!

2. Do DoHee's past life - as a demon?

This theory is one of the most believed theories out there. There was a whole storyline made up for this where "My Demon" watchers seem to think that DoHee was a demon in her past life, whereas GuWon was a human. It was said in the Demon manual that a demon would combust if they brought a human to life. So, many fans think that DoHee may have been a demon in her past life who saved GuWon, making her combust and the tattoo transferring to GuWon, making him a demon in return. However, he does not remember DoHee.

I read another theory surrounding this but it was kinda far fetched because it felt like a different K-Drama at that point but we never know... Basically, someone mentioned how they think that DoHee was a demon back then, and GuWon was a human who was in love with her. Star Jin, also in love with GuWon, was jealous of Do Hee because her feelings were never reciprocated. Star Jin and DoHee were both performers, and Star Jin planned to kill DoHee with a real sword on the day of the performance. When Gu Won found out about her plan, he interfered and tried to save Do Hee, but out of self defense, DoHee accidentally uses her powers which hurts GuWon instead of Star Jin, ultimately killing him.

Reading back on this, I think I need a cup of coffee to process all that.

3. Madam Ju's Killer

Madam Ju, another character who is very important to our plot, although she died early on. Honestly, before it was all revealed, I truly thought that Noh DoGyeong was the killer and the one behind all these crimes. The directors really made him seem like the villain. This brings me to the point- what happened to that psychiatrist that was treating him?

Also, I initially thought he was just a psycho and had some dual personality thing going on, but after seeing what his father, SeokMin, does to him to "train" him, I think I'd be equally as psychotic as him if I were in that position. That man needs to go right now.

Coming back to Madam Ju's killer, I guess after that last episode it is pretty much confirmed that Noh SeokMin is the killer, but what do you guys think? Do you think he really is the one behind everything or is there something bigger you feel hasn't been revealed yet? Let me know in the comments!

4. Did Madam Ju make a deal with GuWon?

Many fans had speculations about this, but I, for one, do not want this to happen, because we all know how the plot would go down if this was true. GuWon and DoHee are so in love right now that they'd die for each other, and soon enough GuWon will start feeling guilty for keeping the truth from DoHee. But, of course, he doesn't tell her in time and she finds out herself, leading to her getting pissed and leaving him. It would 100% become cliche so I really hope this isn't what happens.

Moreover, I never really understood this theory because if it meant that Madam Ju made a deal with GuWon/the Demon in order to save DoHee from the accident, why was she there at the crime scene? So many questions are still unanswered. Was DoHee even with them in the car?

5. Madam Ju's involvement in Do DoHee's parents' deaths

This brings me to the next theory, her involvement in DoHee's parents' deaths. How will we ever find out the truth if she's dead? The only thing I can guess is that she left a letter for DoHee telling her the whole truth, or that Noh SeokMin knows about everything and uses it to his advantage to break DoHee. I really hope that Madam Ju wasn't directly involved in their accidents, but instead just blamed herself for it because she felt partially responsible for whoever decided to kill them.

6. Noh DoGyeong - whose side is he on?

This guy creeped me out so much, but the latest episode had me on the edge of my seat when I found out all the horrible things he went through because of his psycho dad. However, I still don't really understand his intentions. We all know that he had a copy of his dad's phone to keep tabs on him, so that insinuates that he was never on his dad's side (Obviously, after all he did to him...). So, why does he try and kill DoHee in the latest episode? Was it all planned from the start, or did he only decide to harm her after what his father did to him? Maybe he wanted to take revenge on her because he knew that none of this would've happened if she wasn't in the picture.

Then again, he put himself at risk too while trying to kill her, which makes me think that he may have the mindset of trying to "save" everyone from doom by killing them all, including himself, so that nobody has to suffer due to Noh SeokMin anymore. What do you guys think about this?

7. Is the psycho killer really dead?

Many fans have also speculated that the psycho killer who tried to kill GuWon may not actually be dead. Due to his experience in special effects makeup, many think that he may have taken a mannequin he had lying around and used it as a prop. Although this may be possible, I do think the police would find out eventually from DNA checks, but some people believe this will happen also because the door to his lair was open when the police arrived.

Whatever it is, I hope that if he does come back alive, he doesn't make the same mistake twice and sides GuWon and DoHee this time in order to bring Noh SeokMin down.

8. Can we trust Do DoHee's Secretary?

I honestly thought from the start that she was 100% on DoHee's side, but after reading some theories, I'm starting to doubt her intentions. From what I've gathered, these are the questions most asked:

1) Why would they cast such a famous actress to play a mere secretary? She must have some other purpose other than this. (Although it doesn't really have anything to do with the plot, it does make sense in a way)

2) Who is her ex-husband?? It came out of nowhere and I can't help but feel like there's something sketchy about this "ex husband" of hers.

3) On the day DoHee met GuWon on the misty highway, she was the one who told DoHee that Noh SuAhn would be there, but she was never there. As her secretary, why was this information not relayed to DoHee after finding out SuAhn's actual whereabouts? This was the theory that got me really suspicious about her.

4) The fact that she was the one who called GuWon about DoHee's arrest, leading to him getting stabbed by the serial killer. At the perfect moment? How would he have known GuWon was going to walk out right there and then? The only thing that was tapped was his office, not his phone...

I'm just saying.... she's not there for nothing!

9. Is Ju SeokHoon good or bad?

This guy gave me creepy vibes since the start because why do you have a crush on someone that is technically your cousin? I mean, even if you aren't related by blood, you grew up with her as family so isn't that weird...

Also, it's always the innocent looking characters that turn out to be evil. (psst psst... "Vincenzo")

Are you Team SeokHoon or no?

This is the end of my lengthy theory discussion on "My Demon"! If you stayed till the end, thank you so much! Do give it a comment and let me know what you think about all the theories mentioned above!
