        The 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been a hot topic of discussion all over the world and one of the most discussed elements of the same, besides of course, the athletes, has been K-Pop. The Olympics featured a number of K-Pop songs and fans of the said songs have been sharing their pride for their favourite artists without pause.

        Here are all the K-Pop songs that were played at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics!

         

        1. 'Butter' by BTS

        The classic BTS summer bop found a place in the Olympics and ARMY couldn't be happier about it!

         

        2. 'Boombayah' by BLACKPINK

        BLACKPINK's 'Boombayah' has been a fan favourite for as far back as we can remember. As such, it wasn't a surprise when it was played at the Olympics. Other BLACKPINK songs that were played include 'Kill This Love' and 'Lovesick Girls'.

         

        3. 'Fire' by BTS

        The energetic song that is sure to hype anyone up was played at the Olympics to cheer the athletes on.

         

        4. 'Alcohol Free' by TWICE

        TWICE's peppy bop was amazing to listen to at the Olympics and surely boosted the morale of the athletes and made the spectators even more excited.

         

        5. 'Wannabe' by ITZY

        What could be better than ITZY's self-love and confidence anthem 'Wannabe' for the world's greatest multi-sports event? ITZY also had 'Don't Give A What' played at the Olympics!

         

        6. 'Love Shot' by EXO

        Who can forget Nation's Choice EXO at the Olympics? Their alluring song 'Love Shot' was a refreshing pick for the Olympics.

        There couldn't be a more fitting song for the Olympics than Stray Kids' 'Top'. After all, every single athlete at the Olympics wants to rise till they reach the sky!

        4th generation girl group STAYC showed their power and appeal when their song 'ASAP' was played at a platform like the Olympics.

        Nation's Girl Group had another song featured at the Olympics, which was none other than the massive hit, the Japanese version of 'Feel Special'.

        Another 4th generation boy group whose impact was felt at the Olympics was ATEEZ when their song 'Wave' was played for the players and spectators.

        If there's any song that could have perfectly represented the sentiments of the competing athletes at the Olympics, it has to be 'Dream Glow' which was indeed played at the event.

         

        12. 'Mic Drop' by BTS

        It is no surprise that BTS had not one, not two but multiple songs played at the Olympics because without a doubt, they are the biggest musical act in the world right now and they definitely deserve the glory and accolade. 'Dynamite' and 'Permission to Dance' were also played at the Olympics!

         

        13. 'Answer' by ATEEZ

        ATEEZ had one more amazing song played at the Olympics, which was 'Answer'. 4th generation K-Pop is truly dominating the Olympics! Other ATEEZ songs that were played included 'The Leaders', 'Win', 'Wonderland', 'Dreamers', 'Treasure' and 'Fireworks'.

         

        14. 'Power' by EXO

        EXO's representation at the Olympics did not stop at just one song either. They also had the iconic "Power" played at the Olympics, which was performed previously by the group at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Other songs by EXO that were played at the Olympics were 'Don't Fight The Feeling', 'Tempo', 'Love Me Right', Lay's 'Sheep', Chen's 'Years', and many many more.

         

        15. 'Bang Bang Bang' by BIGBANG

        'Bang Bang Bang' by BIGBANG was a cultural reset for K-Pop and the Olympics proved the song's impact by playing it on such a huge platform.

         

        16. 'Gambler' by MONSTA X

        'Gambler' is easily one of MONSTA X's finest songs as of late and the Olympics seem to agree because it was played during a volleyball match at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, making MONBEBE all over the world proud.

        Other songs that were played at the Olympics include TXT's 'Magic', Oh My Girl's 'Dun Dun Dance', NCT's 'Kick It', SEVENTEEN's 'Very Nice', WINNER's 'Really Really', ENHYPEN's 'Given-Taken' and many more! Some of these songs were even personally requested by the athletes themselves, which speaks volumes about the global cultural impact of K-Pop.
