Centered on the 17-year-old’s coming of age, the 6-track sonic memoir follows the South Korean rapper’s navigation through adolescence as he finds his footing in both adulthood and in the music scene.

“[Time Table – The Trip] is about the young kids who do not have an adult or mentor to guide them in the right directions,” TRADE L shared.

“It’s a unique story for myself, because everyone finds their own roads and directions differently.”

The project includes two focus tracks, “Direction” and “Tango,” offering two differing aspects of teenage life. While “Direction” (featuring veteran artist GARY, who has become a mentor to TRADE L) is a melodic introspection on feeling aimless, “Tango” is a riled up, posse-cut featuring CAMO and Ourealgoat.

Today’s release is accompanied by a live performance piece of “Tango,” the first of three videos to be released. stream [Time Table – The Trip] here.

TRADE L, the rap moniker for teen artist Lee SeungHoon, is already a household name at the age of 17.

Known for his lyrical finesse and relentless flow, TRADE L is one of the youngest, rising stars in Korea’s burgeoning hip-hop scene and is the crowned champion of MNET’s High School Rapper 4, a popular, televised hip-hop competition.

Up until today’s release of his long-awaited EP [Time Table – The Trip], TRADE L had only released music on SoundCloud. It is there that Jay Park first discovered the Suwon artist. In July 2020, at 16 years old, TRADE L signed an exclusive deal with Park’s H1GHR MUSIC label, making him the youngest act on the roster.

The following month, TRADE L debuted on H1GHR MUSIC’s double compilation album, [H1GHR : RED TAPE] and [H1GHR : BLUE TAPE]. Along with standout features on the hit singles, “The Purge'' and “How We Rock,” TRADE L earned his stripes by appearing on 10 tracks, delivering quotable verses for more than half of the project.

Earlier this summer, he was a part of Korea Tourism Organization’s Feel the Rhythm of Korea campaign, where he spotlighted the town of Suncheon in a hip-hop reinterpretation of the Korean folk song, "Sae Taryeong." This month, he is featured in a collaborative song for the movie Copshop.

With much anticipation surrounding [Time Table – The Trip], TRADE L stretched beyond his hip-hop comfort zone and explored new grounds, experimenting in R&B and pop. Narratively, it traces TRADE L’s journey since he first entered the music scene.

It opens with a shout out to Jay Park on the first track, weaves through a lot of teen angst in between, and ends with a recorded message from his parents. Putting his stories front and center, TRADE L makes a compelling first impression for his debut release. Stay tuned for more news from TRADE L.
