Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Spanish FANTASY Talks About SF9 & Her Bias Yoo TaeYang, Starting Her Journey Since "Click Your Heart"

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Desi is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Spain and is a fan of SF9 and more particularly of Yoo TaeYang! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi everyoneee! My name is Desi (@sffantasy9 on Twitter) and I'm a FANTASY from Spain. Today I will talk about our safe place, SF9. Hope you have a great time reading me~

How and when did you enter the fandom?

June 18 2018, the day I didn't know what was waiting for me and how happy I would be haha. That day I was searching a series to watch in Netflix, and found out "Click Your Heart", SF9's webdrama. At that time I didn’t like K-Pop and didn’t know anything about that, but anyways I watched that webdrama just for curiosity. And OMG, I fell in love with the cast, who later I discovered that they were members of a group called SF9. Since the first second, I loved them, everyday more and more. And here I am living my best life with the best boys! It’s funny because SF9 members want us to forget their webdrama because it's cringey, but that's the reason I discovered and fell in love with them! Haha.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

There are lots lots lots of reasons!

 

They are incomparably talented and hard working, they're always showing different and new sides, they go from one extreme to another without fear, challenging themselves every day (and with great success I must say)

 

Their personality is so precious and humble, always spoiling FANTASY with lots of updates and content, you’ll never feel alone with them.

 

And above all, because nobody loves SF9 more than SF9! Their friendship is what I cherish the most. Each one has its own charm, but when they are together they complement each other perfectly, SF9 shines the most when they are 9!

 

Thanks to them I believe in the word 'Forever'.

Who is your bias, and why?

The brightest sun out there, Yoo TaeYang! ☼

 

And I can write a bible explaining why haha.

 

He suits his name so well, I have never met anyone who has such a bright personality as him. His smile can make your day completely better. He is very hard working and diligent, always practicing non stop and giving his best in everything he does. Of course, a dancing king, his passion for dancing is not a joke. He has the warmest and purest heart, giving us always strength when we need it the most. And seems serious but he's a comedian, he can be in silence but you will laugh because it’s already funny!

 

The real question is, How can I not love him?

 

Yoo TaeYang is the best in my eyes ♡

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

As a title track I’ll recommend my favorite queen 'Summer Breeze', the whole MV is like a movie, the more you see it the more you will like it, and the song will make you dance non stop!

For B-side 'Forever'. They released it with their Special Album in their 4th Anniversary, which makes it more significant. Personally, it’s my comfort song ♡

Can you recommend a fancam, V-Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

I need the world to pay attention to Yoo TaeYang! Specially his Dance Cover 'BURNITUP!'

 

He recorded it in 5 different cities while doing rehearsals and concerts on SF9's "Unlimited Tour" in USA. If the word 'crazy' was a person, definitely it would be Yoo TaeYang.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

I really want to recommend SF9's First Win Behind. You can see how they were feeling about winning their First ever Win and their sincerity. It’s an unforgettable moment. I always tear up while watching it!

And if you want to laugh non stop while watching them in a vacation, I recommend "Trip With FANTASY"!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

In this case, it's a whole song.

 

'See U Tomorrow' has the best motivating and touching lyrics with a deep message. To believe in ourselves, to overcome everything.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

“The most ridiculous thing that I find is, how can a level/ranking exist within human? How can you even rank each other? But if they still do, or if it is necessary to do so, and you are losing confidence because you think you are in the lowest ranking, then just tell us. Then, we will stand below you. If ranking is really necessary, just think that there is SF9 ZuHo right below you”

 

ZuHo said this in his V Live. He often reads FANTASY letters/worries and try to comfort us by giving us precious words. This talk can be found in the minute 1:00:44 .

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

I am quite a lonely person, but when I see them I feel like I have someone by my side despite being far away. They give me strength to keep going, they are the reason why I don't give up.

 

I never thought someone could make me feel so happy, and I'm glad and thankful that it's SF9.

What is your favorite side of fangirling?

The fact of supporting and loving them without expecting anything in return! I think that's the magic of being a fan, loving them unconditionally.

 

I hope they know that we'll always be by their side.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

Of course there are, every group or person has at least one, but that’s because people tend to take it all out of context and make a mountain out of a molehill. I just want people to try to understand the whole situation with the true information than throwing hate without knowing anything. Idols are humans too.
