Han GenU plays the role of Yoo JaeYoo in "Tale Of The Nine Tailed 1938". He is the bodyguard of Ryu HongJoo (Kim SoYeon) but also a friend. His original form is a Jindo dog who was rescued by HongJoo and thus owes her his life. JaeYoo might appear upright and strict, but under that tough exterior, he is soft-hearted, gentle, and even cute! For instance, when he hears the "paw" command, his instinct is to act like a puppy would. HongJoo trusts JaeYoo with her life and is very fond of him. There are also hints in the drama that JaeYoo might have deeper feelings for HongJoo.

Actor Han GenU is impressing viewers with his duality on the show, especially when he's seen bickering with Koo ShinJu (Hwang Hee) and Lee MiYeon, the bandit gang Underboss (Jo DalHwan). He can be both intimidating and adorable at times, which is raising curiosity about the actor even more.
