If you are new or have been a fan of the South Korean Entertainment scene (fashion, models, singers, idols or celebrity personalities) there is a big chance you might have heard of personal letters to fans, announcement of enlistments, and mandatory military service for all able bodied South Korean males.
Usually, depending on the company and the celebrity themselves, not only would they pre-film and set up content to be released on their SNS (Social Networking Services) while they are away, they would also prepare little gifts in between. This includes cameos, song releases, or modelling/photo books.
This would prove to be true for the main vocalist of MONSTA X, Yoo KiHyun. He previously announced his official enlistment and the process through a personal letter on the group's official fan cafe, which you can support and read here.
You might recognize Yoo KiHyun as he is viral within various K-Pop communities. He is often brought up for his viral cover of Imagine Dragons' 'Believer'. The cover itself was a fan favorite amongst many, not only for his accurate English pronunciation but for his incredible way of controlling high notes and his tone. To MONBEBE, this is a large factor of what makes them impressed by the artist.
The singer has since made his debut as a soloist with his first single album "VOYAGER" on March 15th, 2022. He then followed up with the release of the 5 track EP titled "YOUTH". He also took part in MONSTA X's latest comeback album, "REASON", which featured the viral hit, 'Beautiful Liar' on January 9th, 2023.
As a gift to fans before his official military enlistment, various official SNS of MONSTA X have released teasers of numerous pictorials that will be featured on "Moments of November Photo Book 2023" which focuses on the vocalist KiHyun.
