NCT's Leader Taeyong shares heart filled military announcement

Lee TaeYong is known for his various roles within the multi member and multi language boy group of NCT including having active roles as a member of both NCT 127 and NCT U. Known for his charms, talents and several modelling abilities both on stage and off stage, showing his passion for both fashion, dance and music in itself it's no doubt the reason many were looking forward to the official confirmation of rumours of his said solo career. 

Originally posting original songs and some covers of his official SoundCloud account taeoxo, he would first share to fans his song 'Dark Clouds' and 'Dark Clouds' remix before many would ask for more to learn about his music style and the music that he enjoys in songs such as GTA1, GTA2, BLUE, Rose (feat. Seulgi), Swimming Pool, FINE, and even the song featuring his own EXO bias (Favourite member): Baekhyun on the song 'Monroe'.

Although these songs wouldn't count as his solo debut, it would seem like fan's prayers and questions would be answered with an announcement by SM Entertainment that Lee Taeyong would be making his official solo debut, taking part in all parts of the creation of the album itself.

Taeyong would finally make his long awaited and colourful debut with the 7 track first mini album [ SHALALA ], that featured a title track of the same name. Not to long after and just before his military announcement, Taeyong would make a quick comeback surprising fans with his 2nd mini album and 6 track [ TAP ] on February 26th 2024. Often shedding tears and often thanking fans for loving his most recent releases as shared in this article by the Korea Herald here, it's no doubt that the announcement of Taeyong's mandatory military service would bring many heart felt messages of both sadness and support towards Taeyong. 

Taeyong would share the following letter: 

Due to a NAVER Translation done by BeBeCarat0, the above translation states the following regarding Taeyong's letter: 

"It seems like the beginning of 2024 was only yesterday, but just in a blink of an eye spring has already come. The reason I am writing this letter is because as of April 15th 2024, I will be serving in the military. I know there will be people who are preparing their hearts for this time and there will also be people who are surprised, so I would like to say this personally to NCTzens. If I look back on the times up until now, I think I was able to grow more mature even until this moment thanks to all of you and our members.. Every moment was meaningful and al of it were happy times, so thank you for giving me those valuable and shining times as a present."

Through an official blog post through the popular media SNS in South Korea known as 'NAVER', SM Entertainment would share this following statement below: 

"Hello. This is SM Entertainment.

NCT’s Taeyong is enlisting in the Navy as an active duty soldier on April 15.

There will be no official events held on the day he enters the recruit training center, and we ask for your understanding as his enlistment will be held privately to prevent safety incidents due to congestion on site.

Please show continued support and love until the day Taeyong diligently completes his mandatory military service and returns in good health.

Thank you.

Taeyong will be the first member of NCT to enlist in the military." 

While some fans in the comments of the weverse post would share their worries for Taeyong, many would not only share their support but would state their wishes for him to go and come back healthy and happy, hoping its a good experience for the idol. Some would also inform both old and new fans to find comfort in his music, especially his track 'Fine', which can be found both on his official SoundCloud and a live clip performed and provided by Taeyong on his official youtube here.
