The Korean Culture Centre UK (KCCUK) will be hosting two upcoming festivals in May and June 2022. The "K-Music Showcase with K-Pop World Festival" and "A Festival of Korean Dance".

The "K-Music Showcase with K-Pop World Festival" will have a spectacular line-up featuring Korean music talents alongside the UK Round of the K-Pop World Festival. It will offer three New Waves of K-Music: Alt Hip-Hop from Balming Tiger and the Lo-Fi vintage modern sound of SE SO NEON. Paris-based DJ DIDI Han will also showcase her groovy house beats.

The UK Round of the K-Pop World Festival will also take place earlier in the day. The winners of each preliminary round compete for a chance to travel to South Korea, perform on Korean TV, and meet K-Pop idols. You can RSVP to be a spectator at this link.

"A Festival of Korean Dance" is back for the 5th year! This year will have four acclaimed female choreographers: JinYeob Cha, BoRa Kim, SooHyun Hwang, and YunJung Lee, who will put a spotlight on Korean contemporary dance.

BoRa Kim’s "MUAK" opens the festival on Friday, June 17, and she has another show on June 18. SooHyun Hwang and YunJung Lee will present a double bill performance "Sense of Darkness | Tongue Gymnastics" on Tuesday, June 21. "MIIN: Body to Body" by Collective A/JinYeob Cha will wrap up the festival on Saturday, June 25. There is also a panel discussion on Friday, June 17, prior to the first show and post-show talks for each performance.
