        SBS

Even prior to its premiere, SBS’ “My Demon” created a stir among the K-Drama community and beyond. With Kim YouJung as Do DoHee and Song Kang as Jung GuWon, audiences were hyped to see just what type of story the drama would produce — and they were certainly not disappointed.

The SBS series had viewers at the edge of their seats, curious to see what would happen next. Although at times tense and suspenseful, hidden in between was the heartwarming romance shared between Do DoHee and Jung GuWon. The drama has naturally come to an end and despite there being smiles all around, “My Demon” will certainly be missed in every single way.

Despite being over, that does not mean one cannot look back and reminisce on all the lovely moments the drama had to offer. With this in mind, here are a few romantic scenes from “My Demon” that fans will want to revisit.

        Note: spoilers ahead.

        1. Diversion In The Photobooth

In the early stages of the drama, sparks weren’t exactly flying, but they were present and visibly. Do DoHee and Jung GuWon became aware of each other and were slowly integrating into each other’s lives. This eventually led to a contract marriage while continuing to pursue the true mastermind behind the unfortunate passing of Joo ChunSook (Kim HaeSook).

While tailing Noh DoKyung (Kang SeungHo), they are almost caught watching from a nearby photobooth. In order to avoid detection, GuWon kisses DoHee, causing viewers to squeal over the exchange worldwide. Now, what better diversion out there than a kiss on the lips.

        2. A Kiss Under The Sprinklers

Do DoHee stands at a crossroads and needs to make a tough choice: continue to pursue the truth behind Joo ChunSook’s death or give up everything to ensure no more harm comes to her loved ones i.e. Jung GuWon.

However, the demon confronts DoHee about her decision, providing her reassurance and the will to continue moving forward. They then share an electrifying kiss underneath the sprinklers that’s hard to forget. From the atmosphere to the way it was shot, the scene was and is a cinematic masterpiece.

        3. Lovely Park Date

Not every moment shared between Do DoHee and Jung GuWon must end with a kiss. With their feelings confirmed and solidified, they begin to tear the contract marriage to shreds and embark on a journey as an actual couple.

This brings them to a relaxing date outdoors, enjoying the healing properties of just being in each other’s company. They momentarily forget the obstacles they are required to face and revel in the fact that they are together and in love. It’s a simple sequence of events, however, still manages to create a whirlwind of emotions in viewers’ hearts everywhere.

        4. Gorgeous Sight Of Fireflies

At this point of the series, Jung GuWon is aware of his human past and his fateful connection to Do DoHee. Unlike his past self, he vows to create a happy ending with Do DoHee against all odds.

As a symbol of his declaration, he creates a swarm of fireflies that fill the entire room with their sparkling light. Seeing the two bask in the gorgeous sight leaves audiences breathless and yearning for more heartwarming moments like this. With GuWon looking so lovingly at DoHee, you realize that he truly does love her with all his heart, showing a humanness that was once foreign to his demon nature.

        5. Happily Ever After

One of the many messages from “My Demon” is that there cannot be happy moments without misfortune. And they hammer that message home all throughout the final episode. With Jung GuWon seemingly lost forever, he makes a triumphant return, much to the relief of Do DoHee.

With the bad guy gone and behind bars, and Future Group in safe hands, the two can finally focus on nurturing their ever-evolving relationship. DoHee and GuWon effectively reach their happily ever after, and despite the continuous bickering, they continue to show an unchanging love that will surely last a lifetime. Do DoHee and Jung GuWon’s romance has bloomed, with no intent of wilting for all eternity.
