End-of-year awards shows and festivals are mostly the highlight of K-Pop. With all the releases and performances of various K-Pop groups, this year, it’s natural to want to watch it performed live again. 2022 has proven to be another exceptional year in K-Pop, and the end-of-year festivals showcase just that.

A lot of groups, new and old, attended awards shows like "MAMA", "KBS Song Festival", "SBS Song Festival" and "MBC Song Festival". You must’ve watched a good number of stages from these shows, but some inevitably gained more recognition that others. Here, we’ll let you know the 7 best end-of-year stages of 2022 that you won’t be able to stop binge watching.

        1. TREASURE – ‘VolKno+ JIKJIN + HELLO’ for "MAMA 2022"

It’s a given that a YG boy group would perform with so much vigor and enthusiasm. Like their famous sunbaes BIGBANG, TREASURE showed at MAMA how much they enjoy performing in front of numerous fans. Their live vocals and spot-on choreography were the talk of the town, and the fact that they had other idols dancing and vibing to them must be the best part of their performance. They are indeed a 4th Gen force to be reckoned with.

        2. NewJeans – ‘Intro + Attention + Hype Boy’ for "2022 KBS Song Festival"

Despite officially debuting in August 2022, in less than six months, NewJeans shook the K-Pop world. They delivered their end-of-year performances as though they were a seasoned group, and each time, their intro was new and exciting. In the SBS Song Festival, they performed their top hits for the year, but with a little twist. The beat of ‘Hype Boy’ was changed to a more dreamy one, and the melody fit so well that many fans preached that they preferred this version.

NewJeans didn’t just wow fans in the KBS Song Festival alone. Their rendition of Wonder Girls’ hit song ‘Tell Me’ for SBS Song Festival was just as brilliant.

They also wowed with a wonderful intro of all the songs on their debut album. The remake of the songs and the subsequent remade choreographies were beyond spectacular.

        3. LE SSERAFIM – ‘INTROx Carmen - Habanera’ for "2022 SBS Song Festival"

It’s no news that LE SSERAFIM is an incredibly talented K-Pop girl group. The group contains an ex pro ballerina (Kazuha) and an ex opera singer (Huh YunJin), the talented Hong EunChae, as well as two former members of IZ*ONE (Sakura and Kim ChaeWon). They did well to showcase these talents in their intro, where YunJin sang a a sopera, and Kazuha performed mild ballet. YunJin’s vocal skills especially shook fans who weren’t aware she had been an opera singer, and that impact is certainly sure to last.

        4. ATEEZ – ‘Guerilla’ for "2022 KBS Song Festival"

ATEEZ has had quite the busy year with two world tours and multiple Korean and Japanese comebacks. This, however, didn’t deter their performance of their hit song ‘Guerilla’ for the KBS Song Festival. While there wasn’t much flashiness to their stage, their live vocals and intense choreography was executed flawlessly. You won’t be wondering how their fanbase continues to grow when you watch this performance.

        5. NMIXX – ‘O.O + Tank’ for "2022 SBS Song Festival"

If you’ve seen NMIXX perform, you’ll definitely agree that them as a 4th gen girl group are all gifted in their respective fields. Lily, HaeWon and SullYoon showed just how talented of vocalists they are in this performance, and KyuJin and JiWoo's rapping skills came to life once more. Many fans were pleased that the group chose to perform ‘Tank’ as it's one of their best b-sides to date. All in all, NMIXX made big impact with this stage.

        6. aespa – ‘Intro + Girls’ for "2022 KBS Song Festival"

SM Entertainment is known for their extremely talented vocalists in both boy and girl groups. aespa is not expection to this trend, as their live vocal delivery of ‘Girls’ would make any fan in awe of their talents. As their title song is one that uplifts girls, their stage presence matched the message. It was a legendary performance considering that unlink most groups, they only performed one song. aespa really said kill multiple birds with one stone.

        7. ENHYPEN’s SungHoon and Cha JunHwan – ‘Black Swan’ for "2022 SBS Song Festival"

Most ENGENEs (ENHYPEN’s fandom) loved member SungHoon in his pre-debut days as he was fresh off the ice skating rink. The performance was a memorable one, considering he performed with his ice skating buddy Cha JunHwan for the first time in a while. It seemed only fitting that the ice skating duo perform a song like BTS’s ‘Black Swan’, enabling the grace and elegance they naturally possess to shine through. Fans were entranced by their performance, and we’re sure anyone will be once they’ve seen the beauty of it, too.
