K-Pop has seen some of the most beautiful releases this year. From the normal Korean comebacks to the Japanese comebacks, and even the world tours, we’ve heard a lot of new music. If their Korean language releases are already too good, you can imagine that fans will be so anticipatory songs and albums in Japanese or English.

This year has been especially blessed with a whole lot of English songs by K-Pop groups. There’s also been a lot of collaborations with Western artists or songs for video games and original motion picture soundtracks. While we’re sure you love a couple of them already, we’re here to give you 7 of these fully English K-Pop songs released in 2023 that are just perfection in and of themselves.

        1. aespa – ‘Better Things’ + ‘Hold On Tight’

We can’t get over the fact that aespa blessed the fandom with not one English K-Pop track, but two. While ‘Hold On Tight’ is a soundtrack for the Apple Film motion picture called “Tetris”, ‘Better Things’ is another one of the girl group’s original English songs. As evident in the lyrics, the latter really talks about the idea of not giving up your time or energy on someone you’re not certain about. As a song for the girls, we love that ‘Better Things’ is such an easy song to follow along to, and we especially love the lyrics in the chorus and post chorus. aespa are really big girls making money, if the success of this song is anything to go by.

‘Hold On Tight’ was literally one of the songs that had non K-Pop fans raving about aespa. So many folks loved the chill vibe in the track, and we for sure had the song stuck in our heads after listening to the track. At this point, we can say aespa does not disappoint with their full English songs, and we wish we hear more of them too.

        2. BTS’s JungKook ft Latto – ‘Seven’

Vocals, vocals, vocals. Nothing makes a good song more than wonderful vocals and a nice, upbeat and addictive beat. The chorus is stuck in our heads, in so many fans’ heads in fact. It’s just the kind of lyrics and tune that you hear causally in your head at the most random times. And the chorus is so easy to follow along to that you just can’t stop singing it. Definitely a song for the playlist, this one. An unforgettable song such as this deserves the more than 1 billion streams it has on Spotify. Certainly one of the best English K-Pop songs of the year, unarguably.

        3. TWICE – ‘MOONLIGHT SUNRISE’

A lot of fans were excited to hear another English song from this stadium-selling, mega girl group. After the success of ‘The Feels’, we were eager to hear the ladies slay in another English song, and they gave their 110 percent on this. The achievements they made with this song, even up to performing and winning an award at the “Billboard Women in Music Awards”, are incomparable and well-deserved. The vocals of the TWICE ladies were too beautiful, especially in the verses and the bridge. Like the lyrics say: we hope this song’s on your playlist.

        4. TXT ft Anitta – ‘Back for More’

Most fans didn’t even realize that TXT had a whole fully English song our this year until they watched the “MTV VMAs”. We got you, so we’re here to talk about this legendary song. The fact that they bagged Latin singer Anitta was even more amazing, and we definitely loved their VMA performance (go see it if you haven’t ). This song is captivating right from the whistling in the beginning, and into their vocals and the dance pop beat as well. Let us not fail to mention the Spanish lyrical goodness that Anitta adds to this already 10/10 track. We can vividly see ourselves coming back for more with this song, and we’re sure you’re going to do the same.

        5. LE SSERAFIM – ‘Perfect Night’

‘Perfect Night’ is one of the prettiest English tracks by a K-Pop group this year. An unarguable fact, if we dare say. The song is pretty in every form, from the vocals to the rap to the choreography. It all just screams pretty. What we love most about this song is the message of true friendship and the joy of the time they spend together. As a collaboration for the game Overwatch, we’re glad girlies all over the world finally have an English K-Pop song to vibe to on a night out. The LE SSERAFIM girlies have our deepest thanks and love.

        6. FIFTY FIFTY – ‘Cupid (Twin ver.)’

It was an actual shock and surprise to some K-Pop and so many non K-Pop fans when they discovered that this viral TikTok song was a K-Pop song. The vocals and instrumentals were so radio- and media-friendly that the song was played everywhere and used in so many videos. While we adore the Korean version, this English one touched so many music lovers that they couldn’t help but adore it more. The vocals on this track are too wonderful and memorable, and we bet you won’t feel too lonely listening to this blissful song.

        7. Stray Kids – ‘Super Bowl’

As STAYs that we are, and we hope most of you are too, screaming when this song first came on on the “S-Class” album was nearly impossible. If Felix’s iconic ‘Cooking like a chef, I’m a five star Michelin’ line wasn’t enough, then you’re in for a treat with his iconic goody menu lyrics references on this English song. With a minimal beat of electronic drums and not much else on the instrumentals, their rap and vocals shine so much in this song, and we get to hear their steaming lyrics much clearly. As Felix says in this song: ‘fresh taste, fresh scent, fresh shape, fresh everything’.
