There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other's stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Nat from the Philippines is the next fan to answer our questions. She is a fan of THE BOYZ, and particularly of Eric, Q, & JuYeon! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

I am a THE B, I go by the nickname my internet friends gave me, "Nat", and I am from the Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I got to know THE BOYZ since their debut, as that was the time I was a new K-Pop fan and was still exploring. I stumbled upon multiple posts about their appearance to the public which gave birth to the iconic "Z" hand sign mistake by JuYeon. I got interested in the group, though I did not fully stan at that time. However, THE BOYZ became my ult in 2020, "CHASE" era.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

There are so many reasons why I support and will keep supporting THE BOYZ. To name a few, that is because they are the definition of talent and performance. Everyone in the team can be anything. They can sing, dance, rap, write songs, and even act! Not to mention how fun they are to watch, you will always find yourself smiling and even laughing because of their antics.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

JuYeon was the first member to catch my attention!

Who is your bias, and why?

My biases are Eric, Q, and JuYeon. If you look at it, I'm really into dancers! 😆 Aside from that, I don't know honestly, I can't find the exact reason why. They just suddenly became it. Having my trio, I am also more into Eric—their maknae. I find him really endearing, he's very talented, he's soft-hearted🥺, and as I mentioned above, there's sooo many more reasons that I can't really put into words—they're in my heart I can't really locate so I can't tell you exactly! Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

A title track I would recommend is 'No Air', and for the B-side track is 'Only ONE'!

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

You should definitely watch JuYeon's show in their group's YouTube channel, "이주연의 동행" ("JuYeon Lee's Walking with Someone"), wherein the members gets to do stuff with JuYeon as well as talk about serious topics.  I also recommend watching their TikTok videos– you will see talents, talents, challenges, and some funny random videos that you'll surely find yourself watching 'til midnight!.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

I recommend watching their "A to BOYZ", and "THE SPACE" — where they showcase their individual talents that will make you realize how good each member is.

Their "Come On! THE BOYZ" show is a series you'd definitely enjoy watching.

They should watch their performances in survival shows "Road to Kingdom", and "KINGDOM: LEGENDARY WAR" as well, as these will make you open your eyes wide and think how, just how can they make their performances get even better each stage!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

One of my favorite lyrics from their songs is "우린 꼭 다시 만나", or "We'll definitely meet again".

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being happy and healthy?

My biggest dream for THE BOYZ is to receive twice as much love they give out to the world. I wish they are always treated with respect, and in whatever they do or will do, people are there to watch them and support them. I would also want them and their name to be so big that when people hear "the boys", they would automatically think of THE BOYZ, its 11 talented members, and their music.

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

A karaoke room!! I would sing my heart out to their songs! Or museums & café, take pictures and rest in a relaxing atmosphere. Or, a dance studio and learn choreo from my bias! I think it would be fun!!

Do you have a dream subunit/unit?

I've been wishing for this to happen for sooo long, THE BOYZ's Q & Stray Kids' Lee Know!!! Oh to see two powerful main dancers on one stage. Another one is a main rappers stage by SunWoo, and Stray Kids' Han, the 00z besties!

If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

Why would you make me choose tho 😭 But I think I'd go with fan sign. I can have a calm conversation and cute interactions with them!

Would you like to see your bias group in variety shows? What type of variety show would you like them to do?

Yes!!! I would like them to have a "Healing" show where they will be going to another country, and be given freedom to just be their selves and enjoy their trip, and to not have to go through extreme games just to acquire money for their lodging, food, and stuff.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

One of my biases, Eric, influenced me so much to become more disciplined. He has this attitude to get things done as soon as he can and not putting things off for later when it can be done now. He influenced me to do something as early as I can because later may become never—that helped me so much because I used to be a big procrastinator that ends up always cramming. But not anymore, thanks to him! 😆 Also the 3 of them influences me to strive harder, to set goals and actually do them. They make me happy, and energized, especially when I'm drained because of college. Not just the three of them, all 11 of them are my constant happiness.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

My favorite side of being a fangirl is the relationship non-fans wouldn't understand. It is so precious that iy cannot be traded with anything. In addition, it is a fun community. You can meet lots of friends from different places around the world.

To Eric, thank you for always reminding us, THE Bs, how loved we are by you. I hope you also know that you have us always. We're with you in the lifetime. I don't wanna say the last "Best, We THE BOYZ", and I cannot assure a forever, but I will say, as long as I live, you have my support.
