There's a new trend taking over Korean social media, and fans all over the world are loving it. This is the "Jaljayo Agassi" trend, started by ASMRZ. Keep reading to find out more!

ASMRZ is a musical duo consisting of renowned Korean comedians TANAKA and NEEDMORECASH. TANAKA is a beloved Japanese bar host character played by comedian Kim KyungWook. NEEDMORECASH (real name: Cha ChungIl) is a famous Korean comedian who also plays several characters.

The two are incredibly popular among the Korean public, and a lot of their content often goes viral. NEEDMORECASH and TANAKA came together to form ASMRZ and made the song 'Jaljayo Agassi' (Prod. Gwana), or in Korean, '잘자요 아가씨' (Prod. 과나).

'Jaljayo Agassi' means "Goodnight Miss/Lady" in Korean.

This song instantly went viral in Korea, especially with TANAKA and NEEDMORECASH adopting the concept of cheesy butlers and accompanying the song with a catchy but easy dance.

The trope of butlers who serve young ladies is often seen in anime and is quite popular and well-known among anime fans worldwide. This concept of butlers is also gaining popularity in Korea. Late last year, the first-ever "butler cafe", called "Lucifel Butler" ("루치펠 집사카페"), opened in Korea, drawing immense attention and a huge crowd.

As a matter of fact, it became so popular right from its opening that it is almost always fully booked and you need to make a reservation days in advance for a slot.

You can find the directions to "Lucifel Butler" below.

TANAKA and NEEDMORECASH adapted the characteristic look, mannerisms, and remarks of such butler characters and created their unique parody concept.

The lyrics are all about two butlers imploring a young lady to go to bed, or her butlers will start dancing.

As absurd as this premise is, the tune is unbelievably addictive and the absurdity of it all makes it even more hilarious.

You can listen to the full song below.

Not only Koreans but international fans are also enjoying this song that combines Japanese, Korean, and English!

Comments like "this is the reason I go to bed at 10" and "send this to your friend with insomnia", are all over social media.

As is common with Korean trends, it spreads even more when K-Pop idols start participating in it.

So far, K-Pop idols like QWER and THE BOYZ have participated in this trend, and now, many fans are hoping their favorite idols will join in, too!
