So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi!! My name is Mimi and I’m from Poland!

How and when did you enter the fandom?

It was then as soon as there were rumors that DongHyuk (ex ENOi) and TaeWoo (Louis, ex-1THE9) would be making their debut in this group. I got interested in this because I was a fan of ENOi and 1THE9 before!! And that's how these rumors made me join the BLANK2Y fandom.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

I don't think there is one specific reason I love them for. Apart from the music that they create, which perfectly suits my taste, I love about them that each of them is different and has its own separate vibe!! I also love them for the way they care and worry not only about the fans but also about each other.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Apart from DongHyuk, who has had all my attention for a long time because I knew him before, the first member to catch my attention was SoDam! SoDam caught my attention with his pre-debut cover of my favorite EXO song 'Love Me Right', in which I liked his voice a lot.

Who is your bias, and why?

I actually have two biases, DongHyuk and DoKyun (DK). I guess there is no exact reason why they are my biases, as I mentioned before, I have known DongHyuk since he was in his previous group and his funny but also caring personality made him one of my favorite members. As for DoKyun, he didn't get my attention until I watched BLANK2Y's reality show. When I watched it, I was like, "Ohh? This is gonna be a member that I definitely need to give my attention to more".

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

Every new fan should know their debut song, so I would like to recommend 'Thumbs Up' as the title track and 'Fan Song (Constellation)' as B-side because it is a song for fans and it can really touch your heart.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

DongHyuk’s facecam from the stage 'Thumbs Up' in Inkigayo and DK’s facecam from stage 'I Wish' in Simply K-pop CON-TOUR!! They are my favorite face cams of them because everything in them is on point and they look so beautiful.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

Their cover for NCT DREAM’s 'Touch'. On this cover, you can see that every one of them is an amazing dancer.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

The whole lyrics for 'Constellation' is so beautiful. This song is my favorite but also because the lyrics make me cry so badly.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

When I had a hard time, I wrote letters to DongHyuk and I would like to share his answer to one of them that I remember the most. He said to me:
"Why do you think so? You're more precious than anyone else‼️ I'll make you happy. I promise!!!!! Don't underestimate yourself. Love yourself!! 💙💙 I'll always cheer for you.💙💙💙"
These are the words that I’ll never forget for the rest of my life and I am grateful to him for writing this pretty words to me.

Do you have a dream subunit/unit?

My dream subunit would consist of DongHyuk, SungJun and SoDam, or DoKyun (DK), YoungBin, HengYu (U), and Louis!!

Name a variety show/content show that you would love to see your bias on? Tell us why.

I'd love to see both of my biases on "King of Mask Singer" because I think if they showed others how great they can sing, more people would be interested in them.

Have you ever made a new friend because of K-Pop?

Yes, of course!! I don't have contact with everyone to this day, but I have a friend who I met through K-Pop 3 years ago and we are friends to this day ❤️.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

They surely give me a lot of strength, motivation, and happiness, but also make me want to pursue the goals that I have planned and that it’s never worth giving up.
