Everything to know about Colde and the company artists underneath WAVY

As the years changed and many individuals going and experiencing a imaginable hardships and loss in 2020, many individuals globally would turn to music as a sense of familiarity, comfort and safety in an uncertain world. With the renowned company and app that became TikTok. It would also bring a new sense of community, challenges, and new music that we might have never checked out or had a chance to listen to before hand. 

For me and a lot other similar fans I would come across the Korean Indie and r&b scene and slowly find the artists I enjoyed, many of these surprisingly came from the same company known as WAVY, or WAVY~. In 2024 however as short form content and promotion has seemed to take the lead with vira-lity and pushing artists more then ever, more music fans are finding these said artists such as: 0Wave, Wave to Earth or The Poles.

Let's take a quick look into the company, and artists coming across more people's pages as 2024 kicks off!

Colde Instagram Post, DEC 2023. 

Often commonly spelled as Kim Heesoo or Kim HeeSu depending on the romanization and characters used, he was originally signed to HIGHGRND from 2016 to 2018 before signing to WAVY. Eventually making his solo debut on September 13th 2018 with his first EP [ WAVE ]. Providing limited physically copies, the album itself contained the following 8 tracks: Freedom, Move, YAYAYA (feat. Omega Sapien), Sunflower, Space, Lovestruck, String (feat. sunwoojunga) and Please Love me. The EP itself was an impressive first step as a solo artist as he would actually debut in the duo OFFONOFF back in 2015. The EP would also introduce fans to his style of modern yet refreshing r&b songs with a colourful twist on the regular trending songs during the time. As he would begin his career, he would eventually go on to release the following (Excluding his OST work):

2. The artists, releases, and more information to know.

Throughout these releases and after sharing his love for passion, design, editing and all things vintage and visuals. This would later show as the company began to grow and help introduce new independent artists of all kinds into the music scene while allowing them to hold their own values and make the music they enjoy. 

This made the brand more approachable then others, and allowing such a creative and wide range of artists and music taste from the agency itself. From the introduction, various artists would eventually join and continue to stay with the label throughout their various music releases. With the current impact the current music scene has, it's no doubt that companies are trying to make themselves stick out more in terms of music ranges, social media personalities and artists. While WAVY expands itself as a company and the artists find their own creative identity and discover themselves within the confusing and sometimes overwhelming music industry, it's clear why WAVY is sticking out amongst the crowd to many fans around the world. 

Even if the artists are underneath the same company, fans have clearly stated throughout their careers and as some careers begin how different their songs actually are. How depending on your own music and content tastes, you are bound to find an artist or creator you enjoy from the company!
